I say other, and I say Kaworu. Imagine poor Shinji's misery at being forced to kill the only person who ever said he liked him.

I agree with the death of Kaoru, but I also put down the death of Asuka. Why in the world does such beauty have to get impaled by several Lances of Longenous at the same time??? (and especially after one of the best action sequences in the series)

There's a scene before the End of The World starts up, where Ayanami Rei first gets her new godlike form, and she's going up to see Shinji. Her eye's color's are like inverted and the whole thing is black with a reddish pink in the middle, and she gives Shinji this weird look which makes him scream bloody murder.

Either that scene, or just the end of the world itself, but it's kinda hard to be terrified with such a beautiful serene song playing in the background, I still walk around singing it.

Me too! that eerie song is stuck in my head, Asuka and her Eva 02 got the worst along with NERV personel, murdered violenlty.

The one I really liked was Gendo's he finnally got what he deserved!

Asuka's death was terrible. She's my favorite Eva character, but I'm glad she came back in the end (as far as I'm concerned, it's the real her on the beach).

Oh, and Fuyutski/Bridge Bunnies/SEELE/Rest of Humanity didn't die, not in the literal sense. They evolved into a higher state of being in Instrumentality.

Since Asuka is my favorite Eva character, her death made me upset.

The second was when Rei used the N2 bomb and it failed, blowing her up in the process.

i went for three choices here.

other being Karou of coarse. he was such a charismatic character, and since Kaji bought it earlier this marked the death of the second and last non-******* character in the series. it is a shame all the good people die young.

second, Rei II's sacrifice to Shinji was just heartbreaking. she finally did something out of emotion showing that there was hope for her to break out of the medium that she was only a shell and empty. her last words got a tear rolling down my eye as she self distructed her Eva (not blew up with an N2 mine).

and last but certainly not least. Asuka's death in her Eva in the sub version of EoE. you may ask...why sub? well i have figured it out folks, i really didnt like the dub for EoE in the least. i really didnt care when anyone died watching the Manga version. it just didnt have the emotional impact that watching the sub version did...

I felt so bad for Shigeru he didn't even get a chance to die happy unlike Maya and Makoto.

These are the scenes that got to me the most....

When Shinji had to fight the other EVA which had been taken over by the angel, and he refuses to, so Gendo uses the dummy plug, and he beats the other eva to a bloody pulp, and then goes as far as to crush the entry plug in his hand. Just seeing Shinjis reaction when he sees that it was Toji inside the EVA, really gets to me. I have watched it so many times and each time I cry.

When Rei II sacraficed herself for Shinji. That was just heart breaking.

When Shinji had to destroy Kaworu. I felt so bad for Shinji, as to seeing how he killed possibly one of the most important people to him. Plus I really liked Kaworu.

Then when Asuka met her demise. I found it incredibly hard to watch her being eaten, and seeing her being impaled by the lances of longenous. I found that scene to be quite disturbing, especially after she was full of such confidence just a few moments before.

I hope those people who were pissed at the series ending are freaking satisfied!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah she comes back later by my god!!! Eaten alive!?! Jezz that's the worse death imaginable and now I dont know if I want to see it

Eva's been out for a while. (you can find the DVDs at a good video store or order them online) It is just that with both "Death and Rebirth" and "EoE" finally out, we are trying to asses everything seen and figure out, well, gruesome stuff.

(sobs) And Asuka had such a beautiful battle before those stupid mass-produced Eva did that!
