As the two Twin Peaks fans here know (just kidding...I HOPE!), the first season will come out early December, but the pilot episode isn't being released with it due to legal problems and entanglements with those who own the rights to it. Well, I was on ebay the other night looking up Twin Peaks merchandise, hoping to find a pic I could use as an avatar, and I came across the pilot episode of Twin Peaks on DVD. I am thinking, yeah right, it's a VCD, poor quality, some bootleg recorded off of the crappier VHS tape version. But this is indeed real, an official release from over seas where the rights to the pilot episode isn't being held up. After reading nothing but positive feedback for the seller, and how everybody was so delighted with this DVD, I decided to part with twenty bucks to get mine. And it shipped today. I can't wait!

I should pick this up one day. I never even saw Twin Peaks when it first aired, and I always find Lynch's stuff refreshing, so I should give it a shot.

It's easy to get on ebay, but you do have to be quick on the auctions cuz as soon as they get posted, they are closed with people using the BUY IT NOW feature. Check it out, tho. This seller has nothing but positive reviews, and sent my DVD out today, so they seem to be quite reliable.

Hey Calhoun, *Slightly off-topic but...* Did you know who Laura Palmer's killer was? Before it was revealed?

No, I never knew. I am sure you know it was Davis's intent to never reveal the killer.

Didn't know that. I knew that they didn't wish to declare the killer midway through season 2, but I didn't realise they had no plans to show the killer at all. Blow me. You learn something new everyday.

Coffee anyone?

Lynch has talked about this quite a bit, but I first read about it in Lynch on Lynch, which is just this massive interview with him about everything he's ever done. He said ABC really put pressure on them to reveal the killer. Damn those sweeps weeks, cuz I'd be more interested in seeing how Twin Peaks would have turned out if Lynch had his way. After they revealed the killer, that show just meandered in a maze for quite some time until Lynch came back to write episode 29. The episodes that Lynch had no involvment in were weak for Twin Peaks, but still better than alot of other TV shows I have seen, at least.

So you Twin Peaks fans watching All Souls on UPN, Mark Frost's new series?
