I got a tape in yesterday as part of an eBay auction. It's titled 18 of the Greatest Cartoons from Starmaker Entertainment, Inc. and with a copyright of 1990. The contents are uneven and are as follows:

1) Wolf, Wolf-Mighty Mouse
2) Pantry Panic-Woody Woodpecker *sigh*
3) Talking Magpies-Heckle and Jeckle
4) Little Miss Muffet-Mother Goose
5) Noisy Silent Movie-3 Stooges
6) Ancient Fistory-Popeye
7) Big Bad Wolf-Big Bad Wolf
8) A Haunting We Will Go-Casper
9) Neptune Nonsense-Felix the Cat
10) To Duck or Not to Duck-Daffy Duck
11) Porky's Bear Facts-Porky Pig
12) All This and Wabbit Stew-Bugs Bunny
13) Corny Concerto-WB-various
14) Humpty Dumpty, Jr-Ub Iwerks
15) A Tale of Two Kittens-Tweety
16) The Three Bears-Ub Iwerks
17) Queen of Hearts-Mother Goose
18) Case of the Missing Hare-Bugs Bunny

The two Mother Goose are stop-motion animation in the style of the Puppetoons cartoons and appear to be part of a series, though I have no idea what studio did them. I don't know where the Big Bad Wolf is from either, but it's not the Disney version. The obvious cartoon most interesting to those on the board is Wabbit Stew. All cartoons I had seen before (including Wabbit Stew) are uncut and the quality is excellent. Definitely worth picking up.

Actually, strangely, for a time "All This and Rabbit Stew" was one of the more commonly put-on-video of the Bugs cartoons that are in the PD. At least, it seemed that way to me. Contrast that to "Wackiki Wabbit," which I hardly ever saw on PD videos.

And I suppose "Porky's Bear Facts" is the redrawn version, huh?

I hve no idea if it's re-drawn or not. It looks the same as the copy they air on CN, to my eyes. Sorry I can't be of help in answering your question.

Well, I believe CN airs the redrawn, so, yes, that does answer my question.

Does "The Big Bad Wolf" cartoon have a scarecrow in it? Does the scarecrow put on a stuffed ram's head? If so, it's an Ub Iwerks cartoon originally titled "Little Boy Blue." It was re-titled "The Big Bad Wolf" by Castle Films for the home movie market.
