This is Homecoming Season for Both High School's and Colleges. I've been to a college during Home Coming, I've been through my High school's Home Coming week (Game was Thursday and Dance was Friday). I'm heading to one of my friend's homecoming dance thsi coming Saturday and I've been to the game.

So in that spirit I want anyone who's been to a homecoming game or party, to talk about there experiences and if you hail from a certain school feel free to rep the colors.

As for me our colors are Blue and white, we had our Spirit Week. The first Day was 70's Day, The 2nd was Bum Day...I was decked out with layers of clothes a will work for food sign and just some horrible coveralls, It was hillarious with all the people on the bus asking me questions and staring at me as I sat around looking like a bum with a High school ID.

The day after that was Senior Citizen Day, I of course dressed as an old man and WAY too many guys dressed like old women. Thursday aka Game day was the day where we wore our Senior Shirts, We won the game 50 to Zip and Friday was the dance.. (Details on my Live Journal..User Name: ChrisMSX (http://www.livejournal.com/users/chrismsx/day/2002/10/12/) ) This was one of the most fun weeks of school I've ever had.

So what/how was your "Homecoming" experience ?

This week is homecoming for us. We have two VFB games. One tomorrow (because last Friday's game was canceled) and the homecoming game on Friday (which we're gonna win :D ) Monday is Get up and Go day (in other words... PJ Day  ). Tuesday is Crazy hair and Hat Day. Wed. is Decades day. Thursday is Tacky Day. And Friday is Red and Black Day (That's our school colors :p ).

Homecoming for my school was four weeks ago. We did have the spirit week with the prep rally on Friday. I don't remember what we had to go in during that week. All I remember is the freshmen had to go through "dress like a girl day" :)

Nightflower, it's a big week-long pep rally (well, at least that's how long it was in my college) as sort of a "welcome back to school, now let's get you back into showing support for your school and its football team" event. And they have all sorts of events all week, like a talent show, the afformentioned football game, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

My school's homecomming was last week. I didn't go. I was really sick.

Rah rah sis boom baaahhhh, humbug........

Ahh Homecoming... the week where every girl in school talks about their dresses/hair/dates, and the guys talk about how much their tuxes/dates/dinners are going to cost them. I look forward to it every year. And this year (being my last in High School *sniff*) was no different. Our Football team pulled out a miracle victory on Friday night (We scored the game winning Field Goal with 4 seconds left in the game), and there was much rejoicing. Since the Dance was last night, there wasn't a competition for all us Marching Bandos, so I enjoyed the night with a couple of friends. It was fuuuuun.

Our homecoming was about a month ago. But all in all it was good. Our colors are green and black. We are called Knights, and we played one of our biggest rivals, the Palmer Moose. Generally when play the Moose, we have a cook out, where we cook moose meat, but this year we didnt'. We also usually have a bon fire, but we didn't have one this year, it was too windy. And we won. It was possibly one of the only times I ever display school pride, because I hardly have any. After the game me and my friends went out and had a jolly old time. We had our own little party, that involved pizza, and a lot of caffeine, and loud music. I didn't go to the dance, tickets cost way too much. And I really didn't feel like spending that much. I don't really remember the activities we had for homecoming, cause it seems like sucha long time ago, although I do remember the assembly we had. Which was long and tedious.

My high school never had homecomings, because we didn't have a football team. :p In fact, there are lots of cutbacks going on in BC these days that are cutting a lot of football programs province-wide. *SIGH*

I guess I'll never be homecoming queen now. :p

GO ORANGE AND BLACK!!!! Sorry, Homecoming's this week.

Our Homecoming is like this, we have Orange and Black day on friday, the JV and Varsity teams wear their jerseys. Five minutes into the last period, we go to the gym for a huge pep-rally. We have the bonfire and dance starting at around 6. Then on Sat. There's a parade where we were our class colors (Seniors=Red, Juniors=Blue, Sophmores=Green, Freshmen=Yellow) or our jerseys around Noon, followed by the Varsity game. Last year the JV game was away on Sat. morning, so I missed the parade. This year it's still away, but on Thursday night, so it should be interesting. :D

Well I never when to the dance because I don't have that many friends in school anymore, sadily enough. :(

My Homecoming is this week, but I don't go to them since I normally have better things to do.

I'm a Freshmen. I go to an insanely rich (Yuppie.) school. Spirit week, Homecoming and whatnot is just a headache. I'm not going to homecoming dance, (Don't dance, don't like mainstream music, don't like most people.) homecoming game, (Don't like sports.) or doing any of spirit week (Don't belive in school spirit.).

So, I'm a bitter old man.

When I was in highschool, my friends and never went to them. Our school was lame as it is. We did better things anyway. As for college, I don't even pay attention to our sports program.

I was excited about mine, had the clothes all picked out and the girl I wanted to go with seems to still be attached at the hips with her stupid, fat, ugly, druggie, short boyfriend.. She doesn't want me  Maybe if I started smoking gained 100 pounds and lost about 10 vertical inches, she's like me :D

I'm not going to mine. The homecoming football game is against the NY State champions so it will be quite funny for my high school, the epitomy of losing, to get destroyed.

Homecoming in college=girls, girls, drinking, girls, drinking, drinking, girls, girls, girls, drinking, girls, and more girls

That about sums it up for me

hahaha I do recall going in high school. Those tough football players were on a float throwing candy to the crowd and I thought to myself, "Never again, never again!"

After that I never attended another parade again. Just give me the football!

I kid you not. This is exactly how it was when I visited the school in Virgina, except there weren't any football players throwing candy it was people from representing different dorm halls and little kids with there parents.

Which class? I know That VVS was Class B Sec. III Champs, but I don't know if they made state champs last year or not.
