According to the post of airdates for Adult Swim by livingfruitvirus, Britain will finally be getting Cowboy Bebop. I wonder if the CNX airing will be uncut (US DVD release) or will be the edited-for-US- TV-version.

Anyone who gets CNX here, please post your reviews! Eventually the UK may get Yu Yu Hakusho and Inu Yasha! Tell us how the AS opening bumpers are like for your version as well.

I have to wonder if anyone from the UK even visits this board. They probably don't have a lot of reason to do so, since they'd just be reading about shows they've probably never seen. Well, I guess there are other methods to catching the shows other than just off of TV...

But we won't go into that here. ;)

Britian, and most of Europe for that matter, are VERY anti-violence.I'll bet dollats to donuts it's the US version,if not an even cleaner US version.

It probably is the US version. Tenchi and Gundam Wing are both the US version. Their DBZ is an even cleaner version than ours. And I'm pretty sure their Outlaw Star is ours too.

Well their DBZ was cleaner, but now they can say die and kill. Although they edit for time...

Hmm, that's the opposite here in America, unless it's Showtime or HBO.

but at least we get uncut video versions. In like Britian even the video versions of say Die Hard are censored, and the uncensored versions are actually illegal

Seriously? That is both sad and disturbing. :( I can understand censoring what gets put on broadcast tv channels, but it seems to me that what you watch on video/dvd in your own home should never be censored no matter where you live. (Yes, I know this is not the case everywhere in the world; it just seems to me like it should be - being able to legally view an uncensored version should be one of those inalienable rights, IMO.)

the US has it pretty sweet.I mean,Germany didn't even get the Evil Dead til the mid-90's and even then they censored out some stuff.Even the "godly" Japan has it's downside. It's illegal to show penetration/pubic regions on video. They have to have a mosaic sensor. That's right, even in hardcore porno, they have to censor the actual sex.

Actually, Cowboy Bebop is just being released now in Europe on region 2 DVD. So the timing is good.
