What comics did you used to collect, and why did you quit collecting them? Bad writers came on board? Bad art? Canceled? I"m wondering what other comics I should look into for my backissues collection. Usually I just pick up a few random ones each week.

Supergirl: As for why I stopped, well mainly it was financial concerns plus I was tiring of the whole Earth-Angel deal. Incidently, I'm picking up #75 to see where it goes.
Iron Man: Again I stopped mainly due to my finances, and Kurt leaving was a good point to jump off.
Thunderbolts: Again I stopped mainly due to my finances, and Kurt leaving was a good point to jump off.
Sojourn/Ruse/Mystic/Scion: due to money and pacing issues I stopped getting these monthly and just read 'em online and then pickup the trades later on.
'Tec/Batman/SoTB: dropped due to money issues. Will be back to getting batman with the Loeb/Lee run.
Actually...pretty much anytime I've dropped a comic its primarily due to money. I cant actually think of a comic where I've dropped due to a quality issue*. There's always more comics out there that I want to try and not enough money to go around.
*ironically I'm about to drop JLA for just this very reason and have just hung around long enough to get Obsidian Age as I plan to get Aquaman.

I collected ALF until it was cancelled. :)
I also collected Harley Quinn until issue #7, partly because of lack of interest, partly because of the financial side and partly because I have to travel quite a distance to get to a comic shop and I just didn't feel like doing it anymore.
That's about it for trying to get every issue from the start. The rest of my comics are random or TPBs. I may get into the trying to get every issue thing with the new series after Gotham Adventures, though! :D

Comics I used to collect religiously but have since stopped?
HARLEY QUINN. I bought all the issues up until the end of the Metropolis road trip (#19?) but at that point, I thought that enough silliness was enough. One can only take so much Harley.
JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES. Never liked it from the get-go, but I bought it just so I could review them in the newsletter I write. After five weeks, I decided to throw in the towel and focus on other things. :p

Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. I have every issue up until it went on hiatus.

Peter Parker: Spider-Man
Amazing Spider-Man
Superman: The Man of Steel
Superman
Adventures of Superman
Action Comics
Detective Comics
Quit all due to money. Supes, Batsy, and Spidey just have too many titles for my blood so I stick to GL, The 'Adventures' titles, and Ultimate Spidey. :p
Ultimate X-Men
The Ultimates
I quit these two because the just couldn't live up to Ultimate Spidey in my mind and I didn't like where Ultimate X-Men was going. :D

Knuckles the Echidna then it got cancelled
Sonic the hedgehog until #57 when the storyline went really downhill
Specte: Until issue #17
Batgirl
The book was fun, but it just wasn't going anywhere.
X-Men: The Hidden Years
Because Marvel cancelled it! This was a great book that actually served a purpose.
X-Men & Uncanny X-Men
Dropped both books just before the latest revamp. After the death of Magneto, the circle was complete.
Wonder Woman
Adam Hughes' covers were awesome and Phil Jimenez did great interior art, but the stories were just...ugh.
Green Arrow
Powers
Gotham Knights
Elven Moon

Archie comics. I still have a whole box filled with issues. Why did I stop? Well, after I got into manga and anime, I just sort of lost interest and drifted off.

Amazing Spider-Man . I stopped way back after the "Gang War" because my store stopped supplying it. I missed out on the whole clone saga, but I've managed to pick it up via mail order.

Gotham Knights: budget reasons. Plus, after Grayson left, I had no real interest in sticking around either.
Justice League Adventures: It never was a good comic, and I couldn't justify spending money on something I wasn't enjoying.
Gotham Adventures: Got terrible! Peterson stuck around way to long. But I plan on picking up the new series once Ty Templeton comes back on.
Harley Quinn balanced on drop status during the hell storyline, but its getting better lately. Not sure what this new team is going to do with it, but I'l give it a chance.
