When did this happen? I turn on the TV at 9:00 expecting to see Kirby, and instead I see this. Is this a temporary thing? Was there a screwup in the scheduling in the bay area? Did they already cancel Kirby and is now seeping in Archie's Weird Mysteries to cover up for it? Please, someone fill me in.

P.S: If the FOX BOX really cancelled Kirby, I guarentee that there will be much injury.....

It must be a local thing. Still got two episodes of Kirby here...

I didn't even know Archie HAD a tv series!

"Archie's Mysteries" was a show created for PAX a few years ago when that network made a brief abortive attempt at a kids' block (I believe "Carmen Sandiego" was the only other show they aired). Apparently someone is syndicating this show together with "Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century" (Sherlock is Monday and Tuesday; Archie is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; and both shows are evidently offered weekend mornings as well). Ironically, I think Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century was supposed to air on PAX as well, but somehow ended up on Fox, and then came back last year in WB's noon Saturday slot.

I'm pretty sure it's not a Fox show. However, the stations I know are carrying it in Detroit and Toledo are both Fox affiliates (well, not really in the case of Detroit, but the station picked up Fox Kids in the process of Fox switching stations, and has stuck with it ever since, including Fox Box this year). Three Fox stations airing Archie? Seems to be a startling coincidence. Any of you people out there know if Archie is airing in your area on a station that's not Fox?

Archie's in my area. caught it this morning and had to look at the channel to see if the right thing was on or if the schedules had screwed up. But its definately Archie's Weird Mysteries.

It was on the Oakland CA station too. I'm sure it was just temporary filler for a sports preemption. I don't think Fox has college football rights, so you can expect this to continue until baseball season is over, especially if your local team is in the playoffs.

Here on Long Island, Archie's Weird Mysteries airs on WNYW/5, also a Fox affiliate, but at 7:30 AM, right before Stargate: Infinity.

We also get Carmen Sandeigo on WPIX/11 at 7:00 AM, right before Baby Looney Tunes.

BTW, this week's ep: Archie and Jughead get trapped in a virtual reality game

3 episodes of AWM and 2 episodes of Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century (which, if you try to abbreviate, will be censored) are fed to Fox affiliates every week now, as Educational fodder. They've taken the place of the Magic School Bus, which ran its 52 episodes into the ground repeatedly for 5 years.

So that's why Archie and Sherlock ended up in the old time slot of Magic School Bus on our former Fox Kids outlet! (If Fox Kids was doomed by an affiliates revolt, that wasn't the case with our local station. In Fox Kids' final year, it kept the afternoon weekday block in the 3-5 p.m. time slot, even after the network moved it to 2-4 p.m. nationwide, and it kept airing Magic School Bus at 2:30 p.m. even after Fox Kids died weekdays.)

Though the mystery genre is very suitable to use for educational purposes, methinks Archie and Sherlock is a bit of a stretch. Seems "Carmen Sandiego" or "Ghostwriter" would have fit the purpose better.

They came out on video about two Halloweens ago... click here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0783245572/qid=1034549069/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/102-7297844-8327317?v=glance&n=507846) for more. It also includes the ep where alien potatoes try to take over the world.
