Yup, it is a "real" song, I've heard it in quite a few other cartoons, and probably a few other places too. Like J. Lee said in the MM/LT thread, MMs were used partly to promote music. So this one was probably made to promote the song. I know the song was around in 1931 if not earlier, the toon was from 1932.
