Those both look great! I love the background John used on the Kiyone picture. And the Clayface VS Inque picture just rips!

All right! Kiyone looks beautiful as always! (and really realistic, even for an anime character) I think Dark Spider has his new background/shrine picture.
As for the blobs: cool, somewhat. But with Kiyone above, it just does not hit me as much.

Clayface Vs. Inque looks great. I love how each character looks uniquely dynamic regardless of their very similar powers.

I like both pics. :) However, of these 2 I like Inque vs. Clayface more. :D It's a great action picture. Of both villains, I'd want Inque to win. ;)
Anyway, great job on both pics as always! :D

Wow...just wow! I'm in love with the Inque vs. Clayface sketch, that's all I'm saying. :D Ok, not all I'm saying. Kiyone, as a character I've never seen before, looks great. I am not the biggest anime fan, but it's just wonderful either way. And Inque vs. Clayface, I'm speechless. I was very curious to see what you'd do with two of my favorite characters, John. And honestly I was kind of scared you'd have them morphed in a way that it'd be hard to distinguish the two, or not have them morph at all. ;) But what you did works both ways and I really like it. I'm speechless really (even though I typed a mouthful). Thank you, they're both great!

::whistles:: They're both VERY sweet. The almost film-noir shading on Kiyone is incredibly cool.

To be honest, I'm not as thrilled with the Kiyone pic as everyone else was, she doesnt look..well..anime enough to be Kyone, but it's very well drawn.'
Inque vs. Clayface though..THAT one is beautiful :)

I'm not a big anime fan so I could careless about the Kiyone picture but yet John does a great job.
For the Clayface verus Inque picture...
It's one of your best John :D It's cool to see a present day Batman villain verus a possible "elseworld" Batman villain :D
Great work on the pics John esspeically the Clayface and Inque one ;)

Excellent work on both pictures, esp. the Kiyone one. What more can I say that hasn't been said already?

WOW, John made Kiyone into a goddess!!! Seriously, in that pose, she does look very striking and deity like. And the background, I just great!!! I love this picture and its presence is even sweeter since it was well earned.
As for the Inque vs. Clayface picture, that picture is cool also. It actually makes me want to see an actual confrontation between the two of them. I know its impossible since they are both from two different time periods (and Inque's time period is considered to be alternate reality by some)....but they could do a "What if..." comic or episode. Still, the battle is very intriging.
Hey JD, can you give me some pointers on drawing. I'm aspiring to improve on my drawing skills and I could really use them...

Unbelievable work, as usual, John !!!
I also am not familiar with Kiyone, but the drawing is AMAZING nonetheless... and Clayface vs. Inque ROCKS !!!!

Hey Dark Spider
The best advice I can give is that you draw all the time. That and take regular life drawing classes. Study anatomy not from comic books but from real life! Most important and above all else Draw Draw Draw!
Good Luck

Not really sure who Kiyone is, but the final product looks very nice.
And I really like that Clayface vs. Inque pic. Awesomely done. Why can't those two just work things out? Can't they see they are in love with each other?

It is a bit of a shame that we'll never see a battle between these two interesting polymorphs, but at least we got it here!
They look great John, thanks!

Well, I just fell in love with the colored version of Clayface vs. Inque. It captured the animated style so well, and makes it appear to be a cell, not just a drawing. As for the Kiyone, I don't really know her character well, but the way she's drawn here makes me want to get to know her charatcer fast! Excellent job done by all. This did make me miss Batman Beyond though. ::sniff:: Ah well, at least there's Justice League. Yay Justice League, yahoo!! :bosko:

Thanks all. I actually cracked out my old Prismacolor markers and colored it by hand. I thought I could attain that 'lumpy clay' effect better than if I went in and photoshopped it. That plus I haven't colored by hand in a while, and I wanted to take a crack at it.
Glad you all like it!

Hi, is there a color version of the anime one?
MachSabre
10-29-2002, 03:42 AM
Not by me I'm afraid. Not that I have anything against the picture or Kiyone... I just don't know her color schemes. Having never really followed Tenchi and all. That and I didn't really feel like coloring on the computer that day. Hence Clayface/Inque being colored by hand.)

Both are stunning. Pure and simple. I love the Clayface and Inque. Inque looks so, erm, inky and Clayface, er, clayie... Battle of the giants! Astounding work, pour yourself a congratutory glass of milk John!
