All I'm going to say is, those of you who record a certain late night program will have a big surprise waiting in your VCR Saturday morning.

Did they show something un-edited or logo-free? Once I got "Flying Circus" (WB, 1968) logo-free on Acme Hour.

Was the "you ass" line uncut or something?

It's over; there is no reason to keep it a secret anymore, especially since "I was a Teenage Thumb" is not a very good cartoon.

Man, I thought something RARE had aired, like "The Lonesome Mouse" (MGM, 1943) or "Tom-Tom Tomcat" (WB, 1952) or something.

Worst WB Cartoon Ever.

I wouldn't say it's the WORST, in fact I wouldn't even say it was Chuck Jones' worst. Just kind of boring. I reminds me of a Jay Ward "Fractured Fairy Tale" more than a Looney Tune, though.

If you go by what Chuck Jones said, all of his late one-shots -- "Nellie's Folly," Martian Through Georgia," "Now Hear This" and "Thumb" were designed in some way to tick off Jack Warner more than they were designed to entertain the audience. I don't know how much of that was Jones just trying to get back at J.L. for pretty much putting the studio on the death watch list after 1960, but all four of those cartoons definitely are not geared to getting laughs in the same way his Bugs or Road Runner cartoons were (and three of the four one-shots include either some adult words and/or themes that would have been pushing the envelope a little for MPAA cartoons in the pre-ratings system 1960s).

I like "Now Hear This". "Martian Trough Georgia" is not very good.

"Thumb" is not his worst. "Angel Puss" could be, though.
