According to News.com (http://news.com.com/2100-1040-960594.html?tag=fd_top) Microsoft is suing Lik-Sang for selling mod chips for the Xbox.
Microsoft isn't making gamers happy.
Lik-Sang sells more than just mod chips. They sell some of the coolest addon devices I have seen for video game consoles.
I hope that Microsoft gets out of the video game console sooner than later.

Wait. Why does the X-Box even need mod chips? I though the thing was Region encoding free and that Microsoft was listing that among the consoles features.
Unless that's changed, or it was never implemented. Considering that I don't have the Behemoth, I wouldn't really know. :o

This sucks, I use Gypplay almost every day, and was awaiting future updates of it. On the other hand though, if Sony/Nintendo found out pople were publicly making mod-chips of their systems, they would probably do the same thing.

Mod chips also have the capability of letting you play pirated copies games.

Sony knows people are publicly making mod chips, and they have tried to stop them. They've only been successful in shutting them down in the UK, though.

The Gypsy, the author of Gypplay, doesn't even have an X-box...I think.

I know, I was referring to the DC Mpeg program. The version I'm using says that it's by Lik-Sang. If they don't have anything to do with it's production, than I don't care at all. LONG LIVE DC!

Microsoft isn't making gamers happy.
Imagine that!
I can understand Microsoft disliking the mod chips; it hurts business.
