Remember Night Tracks? I used to love this all night video show on TBS. So what if you had to stay up to 3 a.m. to see your favorite video? I was a nine-year-old insomniac anyway! It was great!

I remember especially being obsessed with catching the Ghostbusters video.

I had MTV, and I still found myself strangely compelled to watch this show. Actually, I would flip back and forth.

I don't remember which video (perhaps True Blue?) and why, but at one point, Madonna refused to release her newest video to MTV, and Night Tracks was the place to catch it!

Other Night Tracks fun... editing "I want my MTV" of of Dire Straight's "Money for Nothing" video.

I know the mods JUST LOVE when we suggest new forums, but some of the threads lately seem to indicate that some kind of 80's nostalgia boards might go over well.

Call me GOAT BOY!

No, Night Flight was on USA. Night Tracks was on TBS. I don't remember Night Tracks was ALL VIDEOS, whereas Night Flight showed weird movies and interviews and stuff, was supposedly pretty cool in it's own right. Sadly, I don't remember ever catching it before it was replaced with Up All Night.

Since I didn't even cable, FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEOS on NBC was my savior!
But yeah, whenever I went to a friend's house (who had cable) I do remember watching NIGHT TRACKS. That show intorduced me to Faith No More's "Epic" video aftterall!

That's a funny video. Especially Patton wearing his Mr Bungle T-Shirt, his side project (his band he was in prior to FNM) caused much irritation with the band and I imagine they were none to pleased wearing it for the video.

Even though I had MTV when I got cable in 1987, I remember a couple other places to catch music videos. First off was a show called "Nick Rocks" on Nickelodeon, which unfortunately is the ancestor to the nightmarish "Nick Video Picks" today. While I do recall Fat Boys videos on Nick, they also played a lot of New Kids on the Block and Milli Vanilli (before I realized they sucked) Another place was a Philadelphia show called "Evening Magazine", which aired long ago at 7:30 PM on Channel 3. (back when that was the NBC affiliate) I remember that was where Michael Jackson's "Thriller" aired, and this was before I had cable!
