Thanks for the heads up, although there's no way in hell I'm flying to LA just for a movie. If it was gonna do an encore in NYC, I'd be there in two seconds.

I don't see what's so bad about it since 90% of the time it's referred to as "The Bebop Movie"

Did Guns N' Roses threaten to sue or did the creators of Cowboy Bebop stay away from that title in America to stay away from a conflict?

BTY: For those who don't know what I'm talking about, in Japan the Cowboy Bebop movie is called "Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door".

The dubbed version, huh? I've already seen the movie, but I'm very tempted to suffer being in a room with a bunch of Otakus in order to see this with the english voice actors before it hits DVD.

Yeah I knew it had the same title as the original. The title sounds cool to me.

BTW, if memory serves me correctly Bob Dylan did the original version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", so it wouldn't be G&R that would be suing :)

It's scary... I was 8 when Guns and Roses did Knockin on Heaven's door, and yet I still feel as though I'm an old fogey for knowing that Dylan did it (I've seen him in concert!)...

They did do an encore in NYC. It was first premiered in Broadway during Fridays, and again in either Saturday or Sunday.

GNR did "Live and let die"

the new Bond film is "Die Another Day"

I see nothing there to get mad about

I'm 14, and always knew it was a Dylan song. Hell, I didn't even know Guns n' Roses did a cover of it. I feel like the old fogey.

The way they're carting it around, you'd think that Sony has only one print of the film. Hmmm...

Once again, one of the incarnations of Paul McCartney(sp?) did Live and Let Die originally. A movie I saw in the theater (probably a drive in) when it came out.

Damn I was just gonna correct em on that, heck both of em. Why would anyone mistake these songs as GnR origionals?

God they suck.

Most people, when they think of action, think of him. The whole reason is that his bulging muscles and top billing have overshadowed the Steve McQueens and Charles Bronsons of the world.

In the same way, GnR used their fame and style to overshadow the greats they've copied. Once someone hears November Rain, they actually think GnR has enough talent to write songs like Live and Let Die and Knockin on Heaven's Door. Plus, Dylan just doesn't sound that good, except when singing about getting stoned or leaving your lover. I mean, people even remember All Along the Watchtower as a Jimi Hendrix song more than as a Dylan song...

I don't, but Hendrix's version was better.

People often think of the national anthem as a Hendrix song to.
