While many think the title is a spoiler - it's not so don't worry. I didn't ruin anything for ya. Rucka said Bullock's replacement will come from Metropolis - so any idea? I say Dan Turpin.

What's up with Bullock? Where's he at? Not really a mainstream book reader, but I like to keep on top of things, especially since Bullock was one of my favorite characters on B:TAS/TNBA...

It's been decided that Bullock killed Jordan Rich, who shot Jim Gordon. Nothing's happened to Bullock because of it, at least not yet. But in the recent issue of 'Tec, an internal affairs guy came in to review the department, and has kick-started the investigation on the dissappearance of Jordan Rich.
Didn't know Bullock was gonna be replaced, but stuff happens. Dan Turpin would be kinda fun to have as a replacement.

Okay, I never really followed the Officer Down story, but I guess when the TPB comes out, I'll have to read it to get all the details...

Rucka said it will be a Superman character. It may be Maggie Sawyer, but I see Turpin written all over this. WHo else could it be?

I thought Turpin's character was retired (in a gruesome and dramatic fashion) in the Superman series after the passing of Jack Kirby. Seems they're juggling/denying time continuities...and it's sad to see Bullock go. He was an abrasive old bugger, but he got the job done....

Turpin was killed in STAS. As I remember, he's still alive and well (as well as Turpin can be ;)) in the comics.

Bullock was a character I enjoyed seeing in B:TAS/TNBA.

It'll be Lex Luthor. It's always Lex Luthor. He's just not hapy with being Preisdent, now he's gotta worm his way into the Gotham police too! ;)

lol! Yeah, Lex just wants EVERYTHING. But I must say I'm a bit taken aback by hearing Turpin is still alive. As a fan born from the animated continuity and not being a very big comic reader, and "Apokolips Now" being my favorite Superman episode, I just thought the ending he was given in Apokolips Now was so fitting and perfect when you read it the right way. What's he doing in the comics now anyways? From what I've read here it seems like he's retired and not aging to well.

Although, even though I'd miss Bullock very much, Turpin would be a fitting replacement, because he's as enjoyable a character as Bullock is, if not more IMO.

How about Maggie Sawyer? She's a real kick-***** cop!

Ok, first of all, I don't read the comics often enough, but I still have a theory. While it seems to be a logical choice for Dan Turpin to take the role over, there may be another person who might be better.

Clayface stated that it would be Lex Luthor. Now we know that this isn't possible, right? However, it could be a person that Lex wants in there. He may have "bought" Turpin for the right price.

Or, he could just stick his fabulous assisstant, Mercy Graves in there. Seeing as how Lex is the president now, he has tons of security people around him. So why keep Mercy with him? Why not put her in Gotham to keep tabs on the Bat and his crew? They did say that there would be a storyline where Bruce would occasionally deal with Lex in the upcoming year, right? What better way to pull it off than to have someone working for him on the inside?

Just something to think about.

Isn't that the guy Darkseid killed in the cartoon?
