I've noticed in the Yura's hair episode all the blood was colored black instead of red. Was this an edit made by viz to make it suitable for adult swim?

Yes.

Also, Kurama's hair was colored red to make it more sutible for Adult Swim. While we're on this subject, on Bebop, Spike's shirt was edited to look blue to make it more sutible for Adult Swim, and the color of Melfina's skin on her feet was colored to make OLS more sutible for Toonami.

The blood's blackish because it's night-time. You don't see red blood unless light is shining on it.

I think after the Ranma thread, we've had enough sarcasm for one day. ^_^

I think the black blood was a stylistic choice by the animators at Sunrise. It makes it look more like a bodily fluid, as opposed to sometimes when blood is so red it looks like ketchup or some kind of tomato juice. And yea whenever light shines on it, it turns to a dull red.

However, Williams Street colored red blood to blue on Tenchi to make it look like water.

ALTHOUGH if blood looks like tomato juics, you can have some fun with it ala Trigun

Wait, Kuramas hair isn't red and Spike's shirt isn't blue? And all these other edits too? What were their old colors? How offensive can color be, seriously. I dunno if this has ben mentioned, but on Jet's shirt in the Cowboy Funk episode, they changed the weed leaf to something like a smiley face. I dunno why I said that, I guess changing the colors of shirts made me think of that.

This is what happens when someone takes sarcasm too seriously. Livingfruitvirus was kidding.

Damnit. Now I feel like a fool. Well that's what I get for not coming to the boards for 5 months and then posting.

Already said before but it looks like chaos is going to reign over this thread so I'll clarify it: When it is dark or it is night-time, red blood will look like a dark red/black color because of the lack of light. Feh....

Feh.... Not only will blood appear red only under adequate light, even then it will darken quickly as it dries and clots. Try that experiment yourself :bosko:
