If BATMAN YEAR ONE movie.. who as bruce?

Personally I think if Darren Aronofsky goes for Batman Year One again (The Fountain is in deep doo-doo according to industry people), Kyle MacLachlan (Dune, Blue Velvet) would be an AWESOME Bruce.. go to IMDB and look at his picture from Hamlet. A lot of his pictures make him look really really bad, he may be into drugs or something but he's also a good looking dude who can definately pull the Bruce thing. My TOP choice.
For some reason i was picturing Dennis Hopper (also Kyle's co-star from Blue Velvet!) would be really interesting playing a good hearted dude like Police Transfer-Detective James Gordon. The Year One comic book almost gives Gordon more attention and even a better role.. but then maybe Hopper would kick ass as the Joker (if they didnt go along the lines of the comic), but hey not a damn person can take Jack Nicholson's Joker away... anyway this is A LOT to post.. outt!

Christian Bale would be a cool choice. But!

Plus side: good looking, good physical build for playing Bruce Wayne.

Negative side: He does the same American accents in some of his movies. I.E. Shaft and American Psycho. Somewhat of an snobbish yuppie accent.

yeah i always thought that the first year he would be in his late twenties. but all those guys like casper and david really really suck. you guys must be related to joel shumacher if you think that they would do batman justice.. year one would be a good movie but i would definately want to see a more mature batman. Russel Crowe is a FANTASTIC idea. no more george clooney ****. right right right.

I beleive that in "Batman: Year One", Bruce was 26 or 27 years old. Also, you said you'd rather see a more mature Batman? Batman has been mature ever since his parents were murdered. If you haven't, you should really read "Year One". It might change your opinion.

Oh, and since you're new here, I'll tell you. Slamming other people's opinions isn't exactly smiled upon here. That "related to Shumacher" comment was pretty uncalled for.
