This from my buddy who got it from.... somewhere:
Check this out!
Superman Lives:
Superman Cinema has posted up an item about internal reaction to the biggest
news of the week: "Warner Bros. are absolutely furious at AICN's review of
the script and is in complete panic mode. Heads are rolling and the entire
studio is in turmoil. It seems they are scared to death they may have
another BATMAN & ROBIN situation on their hands (they do) where negative
buzz kills the film before it is even released. This time before it is even
shot! The entire project is now in jeopardy and that they may have to throw
out the entire script and start over. Someone who HATED the script and
fought against it is the one who leaked it. But basically, there are a few
people in the company who understand how bad the script is. Btw, the studio
heads, many of them have never seen the Donner film and do not know ANYTHING
about the origins of SUPERMAN, which explains why they loved the Luthor is
an alien concept".
Well, FINALLY they listen to us!!!

Good riddance! I am glad that it may be dropped!

We already have a post about this topic in the Batman/Superman/Beyond board. As you can guess, we've already gotten pretty hostile about the script, and are happy that WB is wetting themselves and going into panic mode. :)

Well, now your casual movie goer fan knows.
I'm surprised they listened to us tho.... I mean, you'd think they'd just turn up their noses like George Lucas is doing to our complaints.

What was that for, Gouf? JC made a very valid statement.

B) Despite out complaints, people are still turning out in droves to see the Star Wars movies.
As the article said, this movie has already been rejected before it even started filming. A bad movie would not just mean lost money now; it could kill the franchise for years.

While this is good news, I'm a little concerned that this will induce more fear from WB about issuing any superhero project. Rather than looking for better ideas and creative outlets, this I reckon will make the shelve any possibility of a similar project.

They already have been since BATMAN & ROBIN came out. They need their big two comic franchises to be healthy in order to make their money...and making money for the WB is a good thing. Nothing wrong with that. But making a movie the fans like will make EVERYONE happy; people will pay to see it, they will enjoy what they see, and the WB will be filthy rich.
Why can't they understand that simple formula?

I heard on Conan O'Brien that Keanu Reeves has been tapped to play 'Supes. Instead of Kryptonite, they will just use big words. :D :D :D :D

Beef him up and I actually wouldn't mind seeing Keanu as Superman.
Not to mention the continuing theme of Superman lead characters having the last name, Reeves.
Give me a little time after associating him with Neo, and I'd give it a thumbs up!

I am just happy that the movie might be stopped for now. Would this effect the status of Batman and Superman now?

I should think so. That is a concept I want to see shelved. In fact, I hope that WB get so scared with the whole franchise, the sell it to someone who gives a damn, perhaps in a similar way to how Sony aqquired Spider-Man.
