Interesting idea -- but something tells me that alone wouldn't stop her. I don't think it's her hands that are the source of her powers -- or even the source of how she's sucking the life out of people. She's had centuries to fine tune her magical abilities, so I doubt something as simple as cutting her hands off would do it.

Plus, even so, one would have to get close enough to her to actually accomplish this. And that could prove harder than it sounds.
