I was wondering here about men in black, the animated series.. how sad it's not on the air any more. when did it go off for good?
because it was soo funny and dramatic as well.
Would the recent sucess of MIB II mean a new animated series would be in the works, or not unless we as a community demand it?

The MIB series left? I wasn't aware of this; ever since I stopped getting the WB network I really lost touch with a lot of these series.

I miss it abit. Thankfully YTV has be rerunning it lately, but I still miss the series. I was dissapointed in the first season, but the second and third season (especially the second season) was some of the best animation of any series on TV at that time. Great character movements and just beautiful animation. The animated crew behind the show really took aadvantage of their budget and went with it.

I never got to see the second half of the show's Final Battle.
I wonder what happened... (but don't tell me.)
Toon Zone reported that a second series was in the works a long time ago, but I haven't heard much about it since then. Hmm. I think it's still going on... :\

I just saw MIB in Spanish on Telemundo. Sunday at 7:30 AM.

I wonder if the TV series ran into problems because of the movie sequel? Maybe Columbia Tristar thought it would be confusing to have the animated series with one storyline, and the movie to have another.
I liked the series more than the movies (especially the sequel). I think you can still pick up some of the episodes on VHS through most video stores.

I don't think an official reason was given for taking the show off the air, but that is definitely a possibility. I think that it would be interesting to see what direction the new series will go in - will it follow the movie sequel or pick up where the first series left off?

Yes, you can get videos of the cartoon, but unfortunately, each tape only has two episodes. There are three tapes avaiable, and the episodes are #1-6 from the first season. You can also get a box set of the tapes, but there are no more episodes included. You can get the videos through Toon Zone, at this page (http://www.toonzone.net/store/video/mib.html).

hehe I shall try to answer EVERYTHING to the best of my abilities. lol.
It was cancelled and ended in 2001 (spring-ish) but continued to air for some time after. Ill narrow it down. It stopped airing 2 weeks BEFORE I got the WB channel so I never had MIB the series. Evvvillll!! That was september 2001. I guess it depends on your area too.
MIB 2= many bad things as well as a good thing. Though the movie didnt do what MIB 1 did, they did begin to plan a MIB 2 Series. Im currently awaiting word from a crewmember of the first series on what's up with the new MIB toon. I hope things are good.
Sadly, it was hinted earlier on (late last year) that the new series would be based off the movie. (STARS FORBID anyone ever make a decent decision about sequeling anything MIB) and this would hint no Agent Elle return. I sure hope they DO have Elle.
I found that with what little of MIB I've seen, I can't get enough of how cool Elle is. That and I enjoy the Zeeltor character. Reminds me of a guy I know. lol.
Right now, with MIB not being listed as a fall 2002 show, I will make a guess it's a mid-season addition and they are guarding it quite closely.
We can "demand" all we want but we will not recieve. I have found this to be evident for MANY things. Thats why i can't help but sit back and laugh whenever someone starts up one of those online petitions. It's borderline whining and it accomplishes nothing so I don't bother. Thats not how you tell people what you want to see.
On the OTHER hand, I have voiced to the people from the show who HAVE contacted me, how much the show is loved. I also began posting things people have sent me on a page I called "We love MIB the series" and believe me, they do visit and they tell me what they like and enjoy knowing that the show is so popular. A producer of the show contacted me and was overjoyed to see www.mibhq.com and was VERY happy to know people love it so much. It's a good thing, and I wish more important people would listen to the fans.
Like Avran said, in America, there are only those 3 tapes making up the first 6 episodes.
I have seen MIB in espanol and it's kinda cool. I'm not very understanding in Spanish, but the show is done with a lot of recognizable words and alien weaponary names are the same and I enjoy it. Viper sends me episodes now and then and It's a good way to SEE what I don't get to see.
I am VERY impressed with the spanish Jay voice. Sounds PERFECT. Elle... is okay, Kay--- maybe okay, but Im unhappy with the Zed voice. Doesn't have the Charles Napier sound to it.
LOL. Very cool in Spanish.
The official web page for MIB the series lacks. Frankly, with the resources they have, they never put anything into it. Sure, the alien computer listings are cool but thats it. Not even the Elle picture is up-to-date.
Wanna see a LOAD o' MIB the series? While I am remaking http://www.mibhq.com, you can check out screen captures, an episode guide and a whole lot more at Agent Delia97's MIBHQ (MIB The Series) Page (http://www.mibhq.com/id21.htm)
I take pride in something started by a friend. Toonami sent me 3 simple Elle screen captures, and then eventually more and then some episodes on CD and I made more captures. Avran sends me some and I get captures from various places while I make others (which has been vastly slowed down to some new thing in Windows which prevents me from making captures off video on my PC).
I still have a lot and the combined total for all of MIBHQ.COM images is roughly 1800. A Large amount of that is dedicated to housing character captures, and screen captures from the series episodes I have gotten them from.
....someone keeps e-mailing me asking for Alpha pictures, and I did my best but those are all I have (in cause it was one of you silly guys that keeps e-mailing me).
whew I hope I covered enough for now.... please, ask me for more LOL.
When I finally finish thumbnailing all my images and move em to the new MIBHQ, ill repost the page and it will be a lot easier to access. Currently nothing is really thumbnailed and it takes forever to load at times but trust me... it's kinda worth it if you need to find MIB Series pictures.
hehe
