Does anyone know - was Friz Freleng's wife named Lillian? Or someone else in his immediate family?

The reason I ask is that I just noticed a book in the background of "Beauty & The Beast" (Freleng, 1934) has the author "Lillian Freleng".

Greg~

You have sharp eyes! :) As memory serves me that was "Isadore's" (Friz's) beloved spouse, but I can't find my written proof right now (such is life).

Greg~

I failed to include this. But at the time that "Beauty And The Beast" was made the Freleng's were still newlyweds!! She was actually an extremely pretty blonde lady (rather valkyrie-like to my eyes :) ). And wellllll Friz even as a young man was not terrifically handsome (kinda like a young Don Knotts!! :) :) ). Besides the loving reference to Lillian, maybe, just maybe Friz saw the title "beauty and beast" as having special meaning to them...(I would hope not, but only their family would know)

Thanks Tim! That's exactly what I was after.

FWIW, the book which has Lillian's name on it is called "Fairy Tales". I guess this might have be a reference to their nuptual bliss - as in the popular expressions "Fairy Tale romance" and "Fairy Tale Wedding"...

It's be in the next "hidden gags" update (which is looooong overdue, but in the works - it's been a heckuva year...).
