Well, it looks like it'll take me a contest or two to get back up to speed. I'm a little rusty on procedure myself.

Anyway, we a fair number of participants in the contest and a fair number of ballots. And the votes were spread so wide and thin that it was almost a ten way tie. For first.

But Lonestarr made it by that much to snare first place with a grand total of 86 votes. Okay, would you believe 7 votes? :eek:

Occupying the number 2 slot was Dark Knight, with 6 votes.

And in third place (beating out a whole cluster of also-rans with their 4 votes) was Terminatah with 5 votes.

Congratulations, guys! I'll try to get copies of these avatars up in this thread once AOL stops being quite so AOHellish.

Weel done. I didn't vote. I lost track of the time (as did the thread :) ) and missed the cut which sprung up from nowhere! My fault, should have payed more attention and voted earlier. No excuse.

Yeah, I think I let the contest go on too long. And then I forgot to close the thread. And I should have done a "Let's vote now!" announcement. And I shouldn't have sprinkled Kryptonite over my pizza the other night. D'oh!

Congrats Lonestarr, that avatar definately deserved to win. Popular, yet unique. Smashing combination!

Although I did change my avatar for this very contest (from Ta-kun of FLCL fame, to Tak from Invader Zim), I've grown quite fond of Tak. I'll be keeping it permanently.
