With the announcement made by nemalki of the move of Toonzone to a new server, does this mean the infamous new version of software will come about soon?

Nope, unfortunately vB 3.0 has yet to be released... we will be upgrading the boards to 2.2.7 at this time, tho, if it's any consolation...

I saw that announcement.

No Toon Zone this weekend means that I may actually have to go outside. NOOOOOO!!!!!! :eek:


The outside world... *shudder* :p



But I do wonder, which member is going to go through withdrawal first? :D

The what world? There is something beyond these walls that surround me and my computer? I've seen something peeking in from behind the shades, during the day it looks pretty bright, but I never actually got the nerve to check it out! :p

Oh great i'm going to have to go out into the horrible sunlight this weekend. I can feel my skin burning already :p

Any good new features with the upgrade? A spell check would be nice, and how about getting rid of the "New Thread" button from within a thread? it's gets annoying sometime when I want to reply to a thread, but I end up hitting the "New Thread" button instead. also, as always, I really, really, really want an evil smilie for ToonZone. I need one!!!!!! :D :p

As far as I know, version 2.2.7 of the vB software has no new major functions to it. AOL users should have an easier time participating in polls however. It's just a minor upgrade to fix a few kinks in the system...

What about new smilies? Being away from TZ for that long is bad enough, but no new smilies kind of makes me feel empty :(


Also how about stepping up shop at a temporary location while the move is going on so the blow won't be as bad as not having the forums for a couple of days?

New Smilies is Romey's department, but he's been busy with other things. And there's nothing wrong with using smilies from other sites like countless other users have done ;)

As for setting up shop at a temporary location, unfortunately that's not possible. Everyone is gonna have to bear with us as we do this... think of it as an opportunity to work on your tan... =)

Very little, if any. I can't speak for any of the other sites hosted here, but the World's Finest will not have any updates until everything is moved to the new server.
