Well, there's some good and bad news from MC Chris (http://www.mcchris.com/). The good news, his second album is finished and he may possibly be touring. The bad news... Sealab 2021 loses Chris's character, Hesh. Apparently, he's now working for William Street alone. That means more MC Chris stuff in ATHF and The Brak Show (plz don't make Brak rap...). Go check out his website and read up on everything he had to say in detail.

I know, it sucks... I wonderif they'll just never show his character again, or if they'll kill him off. The jerks from Pod 6 could capture and kill Hesh. That'd be sorta funny. Ugh... I want Hesh!

Hesh was an intregal part of Sealab. It's like if they got rid of Carl. This has ruined my day. Maybe Hesh will rent Meatwad's room, or MC Pee Pants could become a major character.

Annnnnd Mc Chris did mention that he doesn't work for Sealab anymore, but Williams St. So that doesn't mean Hesh is gone for good right? I'm sure the kind Mc Chris will lend his voice if need be right? Right? *fingers crossed* *sniff* right?.....

Maybe Hesh was killed in the first wave of the Great Robot Wars.

I'd rather see Hesh gone for good than have a replacement VA. It's not like Hesh was really an important character, we actually barely saw him at all. The voice was what made him funny and the lines memorable.

Would "Hesh wants some sex!" be as popular if it wasn't delivered by the irritatingly high-pitched voice of MC Chris? I think not.

I don't think it's the character of Hesh that most of us will miss, but the great delivery of his few lines.

Maybe Hesh just got whisked away on tour with MC Chris like the rest of the Sealab team did once upon a time...

In fact, as long as we're talking about this, why don't we make it a contest. Everyone comes up with a way of writing Hesh out of the script for a while and we choose, say 5 or 10, and vote on the best of them later. I think it would be cool little thing.

Isn't Sealab produced by WS? Or is it 10-30 or something like that? I figured with the "Murphy Murph..." ep, there would be no problem with characters crossing over, or loaning out voice actors.

I still like my idea about the further cutbacks by the government in Sealab spending, leading Murphy and the others to try and vote off the most useless person on the station. Why they would vote off Hesh, that would be up to them.

It doesn't quite say anywhere that Hesh will be gone from Sealab, just that MC Chris isn't working for the show anymore. By working, you could assume he means as a writer and executive producer. It could be like with another Williams Street guy, Andy Merrill, who ceased being a driving creative force behind Space Ghost, but continued to voice Brak from time to time on there (How long until the sitcom spinoff "AfterH.E.S.H."?). It's not like Hesh was only every episode to begin with...

Hesh's parts are small (no offense Hesh) so I bet we won't lose him entirely, but they might be more hesitant to use him, which would be a shame...
I personally don't think a new VA would work, as simple a solution as that would be, the voice means so much to the character, especially a character like Hesh w/such a distinct voice...
"Oh Yeah! We GOTTA hear what Hesh sounds like!!"

Wait, MC Chris did a lot of animation for the show. Maybe WS is trying to make Sealab worse to make the Brak Show seem watchable.

But animation isn't really all that crucial to those shows. The dialog and timing of the dialog is much more important.

Once they get the new Baby Blues and secret acquisition, we should see them cutting back on some of the 15 minute shows. And I think that dropping Brak would be a good place to start.

Hesh was my favorite character on the show, so it's bad news for me. Oh well, maybe whenever he's supposed to appear they'll show that freakin' chopper blow up everytime.
