Presented below are the Featured Spotlight projects for November! Check them out!

TOM STRONG'S TERRIFIC TALES

So you say you're not getting enough of Millennium City's champion
science-hero? You're clamoring for more adventures of Attabar Teru's mental
marvel? Well then friends, TOM STRONG'S TERRIFIC TALES is just the fix you
need, brought to you by the amazing folks at AMERICA'S BEST COMICS! Each
issue of TERRIFIC TALES spotlights Tom Strong in not one, but two terrific
tales - and also features a third exciting tale starring new sensation Jonni
Future!

The lead story every issue features a Tom Strong adventure set in
present-day Millennium City, but in a grittier tone than found in TOM
STRONG - written by the genius creator behind AMERICA'S BEST COMICS, Alan
Moore (WATCHMEN, From Hell), with stylish art by Paul Rivoche (LEGION
WORLDS, Mr. X). The second story introduces a series of adventures starring
Young Tom Strong as he explores the enchanting yet dangerous island he calls
home - written by Steve "no relation to Alan" Moore (AMERICA'S BEST COMICS
64-PAGE GIANT) and illustrated by Alan Weiss (TOM STRONG). Steve Moore also
collaborates with Arthur Adams (THE AUTHORITY, Monkeyman & O'Brien) on a
brand new, sexy, super-science saga called Jonni Future, the story of a
woman who travels four billion(!) years into the future. As a special bonus
feature for the extra-sized first issue only, Alan Moore is joined by Jaime
Hernandez (Love & Rockets, Penny Century) for an endearing Tesla solo story.
All this goodness is wrapped in a breathtaking cover by Arthur Adams - how's
that for a premiere issue?!?

This project is supported with a 4-color poster and house and trade
ads.

TOM STRONG'S TERRIFIC TALES is a bimonthly ongoing AMERICA'S BEST
COMICS series edited by Scott Dunbier. The 40-page issue #1 arrives in
comic-book stores November 14 with a cover price of $3.50 U.S. Subsequent
issues are 32 pages with a cover price of $2.95 U.S.

CATWOMAN

As the last series starring Catwoman drew to a close, the feline
anti-heroine lay injured, unconscious, and barely alive beneath the streets
of Gotham City. Following the investigation into her "death" by private
investigator Slam Bradley (seen in the 4-part backup serial in DETECTIVE
COMICS #759-762), Selina Kyle makes her triumphant return in CATWOMAN - a
stylish new ongoing series written by Ed Brubaker (BATMAN, THE SANDMAN
PRESENTS: DEAD BOY DETECTIVES), with the first 4-issue arc illustrated in a
bold, noir-ish style by penciller Darwyn Cooke (BATMAN: EGO) and inker Mike
Allred (X-Force, Madman)! Then beginning with issue #5, Brad Rader (THE
BATMAN ADVENTURES, Batman: The Animated Series) & Armando Gil take over the
art chores.

The new volume of CATWOMAN is a stylistic departure from the
previous series and sets a surprising new course for Selina Kyle and her
feline alter-ego. Catwoman is back, with a new look and a new take on life,
but it comes with a cost. Meanwhile, a serial killer is racking up bodies
in her old haunts, taking her back to a life she thought she'd left behind
permanently. And wait'll you see who walks back into her life!

This is the beginning of something special, so gear up!

This project is supported with a 4-color poster, house and trade
ads, and a website promotion at www.dccomics.com.

CATWOMAN is an ongoing series edited by Matt Idelson. Issue #1
arrives in comic-book stores November 28 with a cover price of $2.50 U.S.

WONDER WOMAN: SPIRIT OF TRUTH OVERSIZED SC

They've brought you SUPERMAN: PEACE ON EARTH, BATMAN: WAR ON CRIME,
and last year's SHAZAM!: POWER OF HOPE - now the multiple award-winning
creative team of writer Paul Dini (BATMAN: HARLEY QUINN) and painter Alex
Ross (KINGDOM COME) bring their fourth collaboration to life with WONDER
WOMAN: SPIRIT OF TRUTH.

SPIRIT OF TRUTH finds the Amazon Princess at an impasse. She has
lofty goals and ideals for the world beyond Paradise Island, but her message
of peace, understanding, and fellowship is rejected because of the way she
is perceived. In her role as the Amazons' ambassador, not every nation is
willing to embrace her - despite her actions and best intentions. Wonder
Woman puts down a terrorist junta, dispatches high-tech thieves and other
troublemakers, but to advance her mission in Man's World, she must seek the
counsel of the only one she can trust.

Powerfully written by Dini, with staggering painted art by Ross that
combines traditional comic-book storytelling and the illustrated-text format
of storybooks, SPIRIT OF TRUTH finds Wonder Woman - like her lasso which
reveals falsehood and fabrication on the part of her enemies - uncovering
the truth behind who she is, what she represents, and the task ahead of her.

This project is supported with a 4-color poster, a co-op ad slick,
and house and trade ads.

WONDER WOMAN: SPIRIT OF TRUTH is an 64-page oversized softcover
(measuring 10" x 13 1/2"), coedited by Charles Kochman and Joey Cavalieri.
It arrives in comic-book stores November 14 with a cover price of $9.95 U.S.

GRIP: THE STRANGE WORLD OF MEN

Critically-acclaimed creator Gilbert Hernandez, Time Magazine's "Hot
Pick for comics creator of 2001" (along with his brother Jaime, for their
legendary comic Love and Rockets) brings his inimitable charm and wit to
VERTIGO with the 5-issue miniseries, GRIP: THE STRANGE WORLD OF MEN. In the
spirit of filmmakers David Lynch and Pedro Almodovar, Gilbert's colorful
cast and irreverent sensibilities fuel a story that defies all genres and
stereotypes of contemporary fiction.

Written and illustrated by Hernandez, GRIP begins when Mike Chang
wakes up one day in the middle of a busy street. Exactly where he is and
who he is are the least of his problems. At the moment, Mike's being chased
by a group of heavily armed thugs known as The Overboys, while spewing out
inane phrases and shaking uncontrollably as he runs for his life. And
although he doesn't recognize his reflection, this is not a simple case of
amnesia. Mike Chang's worst nightmares about gender, identity and
conspiracy theories have collided - and who he was is far less frightening
than what he's about to become.

In his quest for answers, Mike encounters a detective (and his
grandmother), a strange dwarf couple, the silent Mystery Girls, and a
smooth-talking know-it-all who may be Mike's partner in crime...if only he
could be trusted. But who are they all to Mike? And then there's Mike's
skin. It doesn't just seem to have a life of its own. It really does...and
it's about to go exploring.

At once a horrific sci-fi thriller and a mysterious romantic
adventure, GRIP is a unique and quirky story about the world at large and
coming to grips with the skin you're in.

This project is supported with a 4-color poster, house and trade
ads, and a website promotion at www.dccomics.com.

GRIP: THE STRANGE WORLD OF MEN is a 5-issue VERTIGO miniseries
edited by Shelly Bond and is suggested for mature readers. Issue #1 arrives
in comic-book stores November 14 with a cover price of $2.50 U.S.

Will Eisner's THE NAME OF THE GAME HC

Following the success of last year's MINOR MIRACLES (the first
original addition to DC's Will Eisner Library), one of comics' most
influential and groundbreaking storytellers returns with an all-new 176-page
hardcover, THE NAME OF THE GAME.

Written and illustrated by Will Eisner, THE NAME OF THE GAME is a
tumultuous generational saga of a wealthy Jewish family's assimilation into
New York society, spanning the first half of the 1900s. It's also the story
of the American Dream, and the game of marrying for social advantage. With
this book the author relates in modern form the classic fairy tale story of
the pauper's hope of advancement by marrying into royalty.

Conrad and Alex Arnheim are two rich sons who inherited their
family's successful garment business, and over the years, they each, in
turn, destroy the family legacy. Conrad, the adored eldest son, grows up to
be a ruthless businessman and womanizer, true to no one but himself. Alex
becomes a life-long alcoholic, destroying himself and those who love him.
An emotionally rich tale, THE NAME OF THE GAME delves into the lives of the
many people who are connected to the Arnheims, painting a compelling picture
of life, family, religion, and social status from the turn-of-the-century
through post World War II America.

This project is supported with house and trade ads.

THE NAME OF THE GAME is a 176-page hardcover, arriving in comic-book
stores November 21 with a cover price of $29.95 U.S.

Welcome to the neighborhood.
JLA/HAVEN: ARRIVAL

When a city from space crash-lands in California - skidding across
hundreds of miles of cities and towns - only the World's Greatest
Super-Heroes can hope to contain the massive damage. But when that city
proves to be populated mostly with super-beings from another world, even the
Justice League of America may not be enough to stem the disaster in
JLA/HAVEN: ARRIVAL - a Prestige Format one-shot presenting an event that
drastically alters the landscape of not just California, but the DC Universe
itself.

Written by comics newcomers Ashley-Jayne Nicolaus & Matthew P.
Schuster and showcasing vivid, career-high-point art and covers by Ariel
Olivetti (X-Man), JLA/HAVEN: ARRIVAL introduces the inhabitants of Haven,
whose escape from an otherworldly tyrant has brought them to an even greater
calamity. Colliding with the Earth, hundreds of thousands of "Havenites"
have already died, despite the efforts of their city's greatest champions -
the super-heroic Alliance.

As the Alliance struggles in rescue efforts while bridging cultural
and lingual gaps with the JLA, the city of Haven may survive to find a new -
and surprising - place in post-war United States of America. But how will
the Luthor Administration respond to this unexpected arrival? And can anyon
e - Luthor, the JLA, the Alliance, or even the villains and traitors within
Haven's midst - predict what will happen when the being who drove Haven away
follows her prey to Earth?

JLA/HAVEN: ARRIVAL introduces scores of bizarre and intriguing new
alien characters, and sets the stage for the upcoming HAVEN: THE BROKEN CITY
maxiseries (solicited next month). Both thrilling and emotionally
involving, the story of the Havenites begins here, as the JLA attempts to
save those in the path of the city's progress from being destroyed, while at
the same time helping them find a safe place on a strange new world.

This project is supported with a 4-color poster, house and trade
ads, and a website promotion at www.dccomics.com.

JLA/HAVEN: ARRIVAL is a 48-page one-shot in the Prestige Format
edited by Mike Carlin, arriving in comic-book stores November 7 with a cover
price of $5.95 U.S.

JLA: RIDDLE OF THE BEAST HC

In a universe of darkness, a world without a name struggles to heal
itself after generations of war. And against murderous odds, a solitary boy
must lay claim to his heritage, and topple walls of ignorance and fear in
order to save his home.

In the tradition of The Lord of the Rings, The Wheel of Time and The
Chronicles of Amber comes JLA: RIDDLE OF THE BEAST - a 104-page Elseworlds
hardcover (advance-solicited this month for arrival in December) that has
everything lovers of high fantasy look for. Written by Alan Grant and
featuring characters and creatures designed by Michael Wm. Kaluta, the most
distinctive aspect of this graphic novel is the variety of artistic visions
employed. To best dramatize the multitude of settings and characters, each
individual chapter of RIDDLE OF THE BEAST is rendered by a different one of
today's top comics painters, including Carl Critchlow, Simon Davis, Glenn
Fabry, Jon Foster, Rafael Garres, Doug Alexander Gregory, Alex Horley,
Hermann Mejia, Jim Murray, Andrew Robinson, Liam McCormick-Sharp, Gregg
Staples, Saverio Tenuta, John Watson, and Martin T. Williams. Taking full
advantage of each artist's stylistic strengths, the cities and wilderness of
the Nameless World are realized to their fullest.

In a peaceful corner of a land plagued by hideous creatures and
fractured by war, a young hero named Robin is sent on a lonely quest to
unify the feuding lords of the sundered realms against the menace of the
risen Beast. But as mighty as the armies of the Beast have become, it is
ignorance and arrogance that are Robin's keenest enemies. Robin's journeys
take him through a DC Universe never before conceived: from the cliffside
huts of Haven, past the haunted Crags of Gotham, through the deeply forested
realm of Amazonia, down to the squalid streets of the City of the Center,
and finally up the jeweled towers of fabled Kryptonia - all this to bring
together an alliance that will fight for the good of the world. Each newly
reinterpreted and redesigned member of the JLA plays a part in this tale,
though some are more recognizable than others...

Sword fights, sprawling battles, demonic uprisings, and creatures
that beggar description all fill this high-fantasy Elseworlds epic -
complete with colorful fully-rendered maps, a compelling world-history in
true Swords and Sorcery tradition, and a gorgeous cover painting (with a
special foil-stamping) by Justin Sweet!

This project is supported with house and trade ads.

JLA: RIDDLE OF THE BEAST is a 104-page Elseworlds hardcover edited
by Dan Raspler. It is advance-solicited and arrives in comic-book stores
December 5 with a cover price of $24.95 U.S.

THE DEADMAN COLLECTION DELUXE SLIPCASED HC

"Rama Kushna has given me the power to move among the living, until I find
my murderer! And I will find him - if it takes an eternity!" - Deadman

Everyone's favorite dead super-hero, Deadman, was last seen in the
DEADMAN: DEAD AGAIN miniseries and is soon set to star in an ongoing DEADMAN
series starting in December. Now his earliest adventures - most of them
illustrated by the legendary Neal Adams (THE GREEN LANTERN/GREEN ARROW
COLLECTION) - are collected in THE DEADMAN COLLECTION, a massive 356-page
deluxe slipcased hardcover that features the writing talents of Adams, Bob
Haney, Jack Miller, Arnold Drake, Robert Kanigher, and Dennis O'Neil, with
additional art by Carmine Infantino and George Tuska.

Upon his death, circus acrobat Deadman (Boston Brand) is endowed
with the ability to enter and possess bodies of the living by a mysterious
supernatural being named Rama Kushna. Brand is given these abilities for a
single purpose: to wreak vengeance against his murderer, "The Hook." So
begin the stories found in THE DEADMAN COLLECTION, reprinting STRANGE
ADVENTURES #205-216, THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #79, 86 and 104, selected
stories from AQUAMAN (Volume One) #50-52, and CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN
#74 - all of which were originally published in 1967-1970 and 1985.

Featuring new (slipcase) cover art by Neal Adams, and introductions
by Adams, Drake and Infantino, this stellar collection offers for the first
time in a deluxe hardcover format a complete compilation of Adams's classic
art for Deadman (including a story newly re-inked by Adams) - and an
opportunity to follow, from his very first appearance, Deadman's quest for
vengeance.

This project is supported with house and trade ads.

THE DEADMAN COLLECTION is a 356-page deluxe slipcased hardcover,
arriving in comic-book stores November 7 with a cover price of $75.00 U.S.

and the results will shock and amaze you.

GREEN LANTERN: LEGACY - THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HAL JORDAN is
a special 112-page hardcover written by Joe Kelly (ACTION COMICS) and

through his times of heroic bravery to his final attempt at redemption.
Starting at Hal's funeral, LEGACY follows Tom Kalmaku, Hal's mechanic and
confidante through his career as Green Lantern, and portrays the betrayal
Tom felt after Hal's fall from grace.

All this and more is found in BATMAN: THE ANKH, an enthralling new 2-issue

the subterranean corridors of Gotham, is she recreating an ancient palace
from the Middle Kingdom? And what power does Khatera have over the mindless
savage known as Killer Croc?

WAR STORY: SCREAMING EAGLES

So far DC has announced two of four VERTIGO one-shots by writer
Garth Ennis that explore the true horrors of World War II. The third of
these 64-page Specials, WAR STORY: SCREAMING EAGLES, finds Ennis
collaborating with the legendary artist of WATCHMEN, Dave Gibbons, offering
a breathtaking look at war you won't soon forget.

SCREAMING EAGLES begins with an elderly soldier reminiscing about
his days in WWII. His kids and grandkids are always asking him what it was
like, how he got through it all, and how he survived. But he only has one
answer for them...

To learn that answer, they must listen to him as he recounts the
waning days of the war in Europe, where a battle-weary sergeant and the
remnants of his decimated squad are sent to scout a remote chateau on the
German front. What they find is a treasure trove of Nazi plunder and stolen
luxuries the likes of which they never imagined in the previous months of
bloody fighting. But they quickly find that sometimes having it easy can
test a soldier's resolve as much as the worst firefight.

And the old soldier's answer? You'll just have to read SCREAMING
EAGLES to find out, as both Ennis and Gibbons deliver one of their strongest
efforts ever in this instant classic.

This project is supported with house ads.
