Ever wonder if random objects might be cursed?

I'm serious. Today I was all set to do some prelim sketches and I couldn't find any of my pens, so I borrowed one of my mom's red correction pens. I'm going along, listening to music, not playing attention at all to what I'm doing, and when I look down, I've got a psychotically smiling, blood-spattered anime character staring back at me in red, which wasn't at ALL what I'd originally started out drawing, and yet there wasn't a single marking from the original sketch I'd started. So I'm sitting here with a psychotic Aya Fujimiya staring at me from the pages of my sketchbook, and every time I start to tear out the picture to throw it away, my attention gets shoved elsewhere, like to write this post. I think that pen's cursed.

Alrighty then... Seriously though, what makes you think the pen is cursed? I mean how did it get cursed?

I dunno, but every time I've tried to use it to draw, something incredibly scary comes out. It never does anything evil to my mom when she uses it for notes and stuff, so maybe it just doesn't like cartoons or something.

I'm cursed when trying to find a car park space. If there is another car in 20 miles, it will get there before me. Perhaps my car is cursed....

I have a pencil sharpener and whenever I sharpen a pencil with it, I can't draw. Maybe art has an grudge against people. :p

I don't believe in cursed items, most likely you draw psychotic items with the red pen because the red pen puts you in some sort of mood or you realize how useful a red pen is for drawing blood.

I do however believe in cursed months. March is the most evil month of the year, and has plagued me for years.

I once saw this program on AMC about a script said to have some curse on it--it's about the life of an Eskimo, or a half-blooded Eskimo, or some such thing; quite poignant, but I forget the title and the precise plot for the moment. Every actor who has been picked for the lead role and approached with this script has died. There was an impressive string of mysterious demises associated with this script--I forget who all, but Chris Farley was among them. I wonder if anyone has considered sending a copy to Tom Green? ;)

Then there's the legend of James Dean's Porsche, which was the death of the actor and has supposedly killed or maimed a half-doezen fol who have bought or used parts of it since. :eek: A similar story of death and ruination follows Archduke Franz Ferdinand's limousine, the man whose shooting sparked the First World War; it's now an intact museum piece in Vienna.

Remember this: curses and bad luck in general are just mindsets. There's really no way to prove such things exist. If you get out of said mindset, nothing's wrong.

Hmmm, my boyfriend's roommate has a surge protecter bar that we think is cursed. Whenever we try to use the microwave, it beep/screeches at us and shuts down stuff on his side of the room.

Not only that, but one night it beeped a zillion times in a row and blew the fuse for my bfs side of the room and half of my room as well.

Or it could just be the wonderful college dorm wiring.....

Mainly though, it's just a joke. We say it, but we know that it's just a crappy surge protecter. :D

Why would drawing a Weiss boy automatically make it creepy? Now if it had been someone from Schwartz, THAT'S a whole other ball game.
