What is your least favorite 'racist' cartoon? I use 'racist' in quotes as to not offend those out there in cyberspace. Doesn't matter which studio, I'm curious to know.
My least favorite happens to be a tie between "Jungle Jitters" and "Uncle Tom's Bungalow"

Though I haven't seen it myself, I bet a lot of people are going to say TOKIO JOKIO.

Believe it or not, "Tokio Jokio" is not that bad; you just have to view it in its proper historical context, that's all. Some of the caricatures are a bit much, but there are some amusing parts. The cartoon still might be available on Goopy Gear's page. Watch it with a clear mind and you might like it for what it is.

I think......
"Sunday go to meetin' time".
Although it has lessons that we can all learn from it does go a little too far(BUT this is only by todays standards).
I think
"Hittin' the trail to halleujah land",
"Coal black and de sebben dwarfs",
"Tin pan alley cats"......
well most of the other censored 11 arn't really racist.

I have to say without conviction, that "Angel Puss" is my least favourite 'racist toon'. I hardly find anything funny about it, it's too slow moving, and most of the cartoon is really dark visually. The only redeeming quality is that there's lots of Bob Cannon animation in it.....:)
I actually like Tokio Jokio. Lisle is right, you have to see it in the proper context.... the only joke that can't be really seen as funny, in my opinion, is the postcard reading "Wish You Were Here".... that one's just plain mean!!

Mine would be ...UNCLE TOM AND LITTLE EVA aka PICKANNY BLUES (1932)
This cartoon makes me squirms in my seat everytime I see this cartoon, especially when I see the slave auction with the slaves in chains around their necks.

I never really liked "Jungle Jitters" that much. I thought it was pretty bad for Freleng.

Tokio Jokio.
It's just not funny and it gets all its kicks from really cruel humor. I know it was made during WWII, but this makes fun of the Japanese race...it's like "Scary Movie II." It was funny a few weeks ago, but it'll become more un-funny with every year.
Not that I wouldn't want TJ on DVD, though. :D

"Angel Puss" -- Unfunny premise, and a really mean-spirited cartoon when you get down to it. Other WB toons with racist charactures at least have some bright gags or good music, this one lacks either.
Hard to believe Chuck Jones made this one, though writer Lou Lilly worked with Clampett on some of his "meanest" cartoons in the mid-40s, so that may be part of the reason why this cartoon came out the way it did.

I vote for "Angel Puss,"
that cartoon has a hard time
catching up with itself.
Not only that, you can
hardly see a thing - it's so dark!
It's not funny at all - I should've
listed that as one of my least favorite
WB 'toons.

Mine are Tokyo Jokio and The Island of Pongo Pongo. Both were very offensive.

It took me a while to remember it in this context, but there is a Popeye cartoon that may edge most of the above out: POPEYE ALA MODE . Not only are the natives grossly caricatured, even by '40s standards, but the cannibalism jokes all over the cartoon are quite gross. Plus, the juxtraposition of the 2 themes are very unfotunate to say the least. I hated it last time I saw it in the really early '90s. How did I stomach that in the early '70s, anyway?!
In spite of the above, I'd still like to see the darn thing once more. But I'd probably hate myself in the morning!
I never really liked either Tokio Jokio or Angel Puss. Niether are all that funny. Though, I don't think Angel Puss was made so dark, I think it's just a case of bad prints, like Dough For the Do Do. They never would have painted backgrounds that are almost black and then put black and dark brown characters over them.

I don't hate them, but I find these less interesting than the better cartoons with high racial content:
LITTLE BLACK SAMBO (Iwerks)
SCRUB ME MAMA WITH A BOOGIE BEAT (Lantz)
VOODOO IN HARLEM (Lantz)
TOKIO JOKIO
SWEET SOUIX
The salesman dog in JUNGLE JITTERS cracks me up, but otherwise it's an unremarkable cartoon. ANGEL PUSS is okay, but not much happens (I do like the line, "That ol' lady gave yo' fo' bits to drown that kitty... and fo' bits is fo' bits!", though).
