Not to worry. Even though Pamela Anderson has said she'll take a year off from work, you'll still be able to catch her doing the weekly grind as Stripperella, an animated exotic dancer/superhero created by comics legend Stan Lee (''Spider-Man''). ''Stripperella,'' based on Anderson and voiced by the actress, will be part of TNN's new lineup of mature-audience cartoons, beginning next April. To find out what you can expect from the racy new series, EW.com spoke with the show's creators. (Note: Only two scripts have been written and nothing has been filmed, so if some of these details don't make it to your TV, keep an eye out for them on the DVD director's cut!)

THE SHOW With animation directed by Kevin Altieri (''Batman: The Animated Series'') and writing by Nickelodeon alums Kevin Kopelow & Heath Seifert (''Kenan & Kel,'' ''All That''), ''Stripperella'' promises to have a gritty, rock-video look, more jokes than you'll have time to notice, and all the action one stripper can handle. Music will be an important element in each episode, and -- though no cameos have been cast yet -- keep an eye out for guest appearances by many of Pam's rock star friends.

THE STORY During each half hour, Stripperella (a.k.a. Erotica Jones, mild-mannered exotic dancer) will face challenges like the evil plastic surgeon Dr. Cesarean, who has been installing nitroglycerin breast implants in her ecdysiast friends -- to explosive result. The local strip club will also be the setting for the (slightly) more down-to-earth personal stories in which Erotica/Stripperella helps fellow dancers like Persephone, who's in a tumultuous love triangle with conjoined twins.

STRIPPERELLA'S POWERS In addition to uncanny limberness, the buxom heroine will have a host of special crime-fighting abilities. Her ''hair-a-chute'' is a 'do that allows her to float to safety from great heights. And her patented move, known as ''scissor-ella,'' involves squeezing someone's head with her thighs until he's unconscious. ''Some guys would probably PAY for that experience,'' admits writer Seifert.

The show's creators have also given her some handy ''gadgets,'' like a lie-detecting chest (put your hands on it and she knows if you're telling the truth) and an under-the-tongue scanner (she can lick anything to send a digitally captured image back to the computer). We're not making this stuff up. Honest.

Uh...hmm...Comments? The page that I linked has a pic, for anyone interested.

If it's from the great writing team from Kenan & Kel's show, you know it's got to be good.

Shouldn't this be in General Animation? This really isn't AS related.

Well, it certainly sounds like it's "developing" nicely :D .

It's VIP: the animated series. Let's see how many weeks of decent eye candy it will give the guys before the bashing starts.

Later.

That hurts. "Kenan and Kel" was hilarious. You must be thinking of that awful, awful show "Cousin Skeeter". BTW, Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert also worked on "All That" when it was funny, so this could turn out all right.

Interesting article, but it still sounds like the show will just be eye candy for the guys, but hen again this is TNN we're talking about, and everybody knows that all the TNN watchers care about is sex, sex, sex, and Star Trek :p Add a heeping helping of monster truck rallies and you have a redneck feast :p :p

BTW any plans on where this block will fall under once it begins? I think the best bet would be to merge with the AS forum, but maybe TZ has something else planned.

I don't doubt them---even *I* couldn't make up something like *this*, folks. Or would even remotely *want* to, for that matter... ;-p

From what I've seen of TNN, hope the drooling Pamela fans don't mind a stupid-looking, perpetual black bar stuck at the bottom of the screen for this whole show...

To think they took "Star Trek:TNG" out of broadcast TV syndication so it could share channel-space with Pamela Lee Anderson, professional wrestling and an always-present black bar... *sigh*...

From the writing team that brought us "All That" and "Kenan & Kel", eh? Am I the only person who sees this team negating the "mature" angle of the show. Mind you, it'll be perfect for their teenage guy writing style:

"Hey, you know what would be funny?"
"What?"
"Boobs with machine guns."
"*snicker*Dude, Austin Po*snicker*...alright, yeah, put it in there."
"Hey...know any funny stuff about farts?"
"...yes."

Expect a special guest appearance by two elderly black men that yell a lot. And this fat librarian that keeps yelling. Hell, just expect a LOT OF YELLING in this show.

Forget Stripperella. I'm only going to be watching TNN for Ren and Stimpy.

Yeurgh...thanks for the mental imagery ;-)

Wonder what Keenan and Kell themselves are doing nowadays, anyway...

When I think of Striperlla I thought of cheap flash animation @_@ That character design was pretty intresting, more then I expected. But the writes I would have never chosen! PLEASE! Kenan and Kel and All That? Those shows where funny when I was 5 XP What was TNN thinking?
