mine are:

* The Tick (A new Tick cartoon would rock)

* Tiny Toons (I love this show)

* Animaniacs (nuff said :D)

* Fantatsic Four (new FF series would be cool)

* Avengers (I what to see this show done right)

Well, I may have voiced my opinions before on this but here goes.

Silver Surfer - Season 2 was already written out, I read the script for the End of Eternity, Part 2, and I really wanted to see it. It was a good series.

Spider-man Unlimited - The invasion of the Synoptic was starting to gain some critical meaning, and the series got dumped. Another underrated animated Marvel show gone bye-bye.

Fantastic Four - The second season rocked. 'nuff said. Bring it back...

Exosquad - My personal favorite. My summer of 1994 was dictated by the VCR and this show in the morning when I had summer school. The last episode, "Beyond Chaos," opened so many doors there HAD to be a third season, but it never happened. Things like Nara's tree-growing power, or the Neo Sapiens that can pro-create, and the reconstructed Mars, and of course, the big bad aliens who swiped planet Chaos from the solar system. If anyone picks up the show again, I would recommend just picking up where it left off.

Sonic SatAM - Granted, the cliffhanger at the end is the main reason I want a comeback, but the show was just so darn cool. It had power rings!

Reboot - It has been on the underserving hiatus TWICE, so I have plenty of faith it can come back. While I would be content with just a new movie (four episodes) here and there, I think most people would be thrilled at a full season 5 (13+ episodes).

This ain't nostalgia either, most of these shows had good stories to be told, but were never finished. Things need resolution. I don't watch many cartoons compared to before, as I believe most are filler or one-shots that just entertain. These shows I want back had drama (and not that lame TNT catchphrase kind either). I wanted to watch for story and fantasy, all the good things I like in cartoons. Ah, well, if I started college as a literature major I might have had the courage to try to write new episodes.

Later.

wasn't Nara not 100% human? i might have remembered wrong but wasn't she part Neo or had some Neo elements to her?

a couple of things i didn't like about exo-squad was that Alec DeLeon was brought back to life and Mars being reconstructed. those 2 events didn't really sit well with me.

one thing i really liked was making a new batch of Neo's that could pro-create so they have a sense of past, present, and future. it gives them a sense of history--a beginning and an ending. maybe this way, they won't start the wars against humans again.

Without a doubt one of my top picks would have to be the Spawn animated series that played on HBO a few years ago. How can you even have a thread like this and not mention one of the best examples showcasing what America's top talent in adult animation can really do if given the leeway that McFarlane and his people got from HBO at the time.

And when I say "adult", I don't mean the overuse of gore and nudity, but well thought out 3 dimensional characters and plotlines which this show brought by the barrelload.

I mean it's main protagonist was a trained government killer who brought about so much evil and bloodshed in his life that before he even died he had a reserved ticket straight to hell and was resurrected as one of its leading players in the ultimate goal of dooming all of mankind to eternal damnation......and you actually feel sorry for this guy!

All the characters from the obnoxious Hell-clown sent to stir him to the side of evil as a Hell-Spawn, to the old stranger who seemed to know an awful lot about what Spawn was going thru and tried to keep him from taking that last final step toward evil, were so well-crafted out that when you found out anything about them and their mysterious pasts it just made you more certain you had to know more.

It had dark humor, intrigue, espionage, mystery, great characters not to mention cool as hell villains, action and was actually creepy, bordering on scary at some points along with tons of other reasons to long in detail to mention here but you get my point. ;)

There should be new eps of this series made immediately in my opinion, with the exactly same talent ultilized for the 3 seasons from before.

Okay, here's a list of series that deserve another, much better, opportunity, for popularity:

CatDog
Cattanooga Cats
Rescue Rangers
TaleSpin
Raw Toonage(Updated with new host segments and more shorts featuring supporting players from recent Toon Disney series.)
Swat Kats
Road Rovers
Angry Beavers
Tiny Toons
Animaniacs
Snooper & Blabber
Punky Brewster (with Glomer and Glomleen- remember that classic ep of the animated series?)
Fangface
Puppy's Adventures

I believe these series should get back into the lineups immediately, if not sooner! :bosko:

I agree with a great deal of the choices, but these, in particular, interest me:

Duckman - All I really want is a resolution to the final episode; a cliffhanger. I don't want the show to end up in the hands of people who clearly don't know the first thing about who the characters are (*coughJohnnyBravocough*). Except for a few ignorable flaws, the 70 episodes of Duckman were perfect, and I would not want to tarnish the good name of that show.

Raw Toonage - That would indeed rock. I must've been one of about two dozen people who saw the show in its initial CBS run (ah, the good old days).

Toonsylvania - I bet that another season could've been produced before the show got stale.

Downtown - Likewise.

Transformers: Generation One. All these new continuity series SUCK!!!!!

Invader ZIM: curse Nick for pulling the plug. If anything keep it in the Viacom House and air it on MTV, there's a fring audience there.

Gargoyles: I've never been a Disney fan but I loved this series. A perfect companion program to BTAS when they were both on FOX.

Daria: curse MTV for jerking w/ her timeslots. I never knew when she was on. They'd always bump her in favor of a Real World marathon or something. I think I missed the enitre 3rd season. I hear she's on Noggin or something but I don't have digital cable in my room.

BTAS/TNBA: Gotham is rich w/ characters. If not a continuing series at least treat us to annual direct-to-videos a la Scooby-Doo.

The Tick: perfect Adult Swim candidate. A better animation style would make this a great re-launch.

Duckman and the Critic were funny but I think they've ran their course.

I think FOX should produce a Spy vs. Spy animated series.
Oh and someone earlier mentioned Spider-Man Unlimited. Gag!!! That show was garbage. I'd sit through a terst pattern before I watch that tripe again.

1. G1 Transformers:

We restart at the end of US "Rebirth", and introduce a new faction into the mix. Bring back the REAL Laserbeak, a loyal Decepticon.... [sorry. still sobbing over Armada.] Now that I've got the Armada business out of the way...seriously. G1 would be a great revamp. And if I were helming the series, I'd add in a few GIJoe crossover eps. [I have one where Duke, due to intense brainwashing, becomes a crazed supervillain terrorist...I say too much.] Most definitely, get the voices of Peter and Frank(among others) to team up with Ocean Westwood(Chalk, Kaye, McNeil, and Parker) and give us a real show.

2. Exo Squad:

Let the pros take care of this baby. I want the conclusion to that cliffhanger.

3. Sonic SatAM:

Same as EXO.

4. Gargoyles:

All I ask is that they undo the mess ostensibly called The Goliath Chronicles, use WD-Japan again, and start over from the end of the Hunter's Moon trilogy.

Definitly ReBoot! Anyone who knows me, or my posts could have told you that without a second guess!

Shadow Raiders, I accually never saw the show, but if mainframe made it I'm sure it was good, and I am intrested in seeing it.

Action Man, if it weren't so crapped up, by fox, would be nice.

Many mainframe shows need a comeback, networks don't seem to like being nice to Mainframe.

Definitly Family Guy, and futurama.

Eeek! The Cat, and Rocko's Modern Life are also some show's I'd like to come back.

If they can revive Thundercats, He-Man, et al, Jayce deserves a shot, too! Just need someone to be the narrator (the late Ernie Anderson was the original narrator) ;)

Men In Black

Reportedly, a series based on MIB2 will be a mid-season entry on WB. They're in the habit of scheduling shows when they feel like it.

Calamity Jane

Never got to see this one. Cartoon Network should take a swing at getting it!

ReBoot

CN fumbled the ball with this show, as ABC did before them. Maybe Sci-Fi should pick up the baton?

Superman (love to see the year where Kal-El got back to the public's good graces [or Legacy written off as a bad dream, whichever sounds better])

Maybe CN will spin this off from Justice League if enough people demand it.

Batman Beyond

They ended the show too soon, IMPO, so they need to bring some clear closure to it, maybe with a made-for-TV movie?

The Critic

Why CN can't get the rights to this show, now that Comedy Central has given up on it, is beyond me. Deserved a better fate than it got from first ABC, then Fox. :D

Thundercats

With a new comic book out, a new cartoon should follow in short order. Since WB bought out Rankin-Bass, maybe they still have rights?

Dungeons and Dragons (they could have at least made a final episode)

They've done a parody of role-playing games on Dexter's Lab, and there was talk of a new series a while back, but it quickly faded.

Duckman (a cliffhanger is not a good way to end a series)

Agreed. At least it'd be better than having Jason Alexander waste his career shilling for KFC. :D

Space Ghost (not the talk show host, the original, butt-kicking space adventurer. The talk show RUINED the character's marketability)

Can I get an AMEN? :D CN has people who have no respect for the past. Maybe if Dini & Timm could get their hands on SG?

Thundarr the Barbarian

Yes!! This is another one Dini & Timm should try to revive!!

Avengers (done with respect to the original characters and with the big guns. An Avengers without Cap, Iron Man, and Thor is like a Justice League without Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batm - - - what do you mean they're doing that in the comics? Why I oughta . . . )

Saban & Fox screwed up royally, so maybe Marvel should have another studio (Film Roman?) tackle "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" next. Would be better than giving Wasp & Giant-Man Beetleborg helmets.

Daria (the college years)

MTV will probably bring this back if there's enough of a protest from viewers.

Personally, I'd love to see Dini & Timm do the impossible and have some of the HB heroes of the 60's cross-over and meet the Justice League. That would rule!! I would bring back the true Birdman and bring closure to that series.

I would bring back the true Birdman and bring closure to that series.

a few things...

Dini & Timm no longer work together...they had a big falling out after "Return of the Joker"

CN didn't ruin ReBoot, they handled it quite well, CN doesn't make or break shows...viewers do.

CN didn't ruin Space Ghost's marketability...if anything, they improved it. If not for CN, no one would even REMEMBER Space Ghost.

Daria - It had it's run...it's over now...there's something to be said about letting a show have it's run, then fade away - lest the quality continue to degrade. Daria was loosing steam...it happens. Look at Cowboy Bebop...while people are still begging for more episodes...but I think more would only hinder the show.

Superman's on JL, as is Batman.....they won't be getting new shows till JL's done...and probably not even then.

I would love to see new episodes of Exo-Squad. I watched that show religiously. I hated to see it end with things unresolved. Though, I would rather them leave it how it is if they won't do the new episodes right. (CGI is over-rated.)

M.A.S.K. was also a great show, but I would like to see more mature writing if it was done.

Some others:
The Critic
Silverhawks
The Family Guy
Re-boot
Dragonball GT (I know it hasn't come on in the US yet, but I want it too :D )
Gargoyles
Animaniacs
Spiderman (a good non-CGI version)
X-Men (NOT that Evolution crap  )

The only problem is that the animation studios and networks have horrible track records with new versions of old shows. (See Voltron: The third dimension  )

I would rather keep the good memories of the the originals.

I'm sorry to hear that Dini, and Timm split up after that whole "Return Of The Joker" mess. Still, Dini came back to work on the Justice League episode "The Brave & The Bold". and your also right about Cartoon Network keeping Space Ghost in the public eye. Although A new Space Ghost series that's more action oriented would be awsome. So long as the right people are involved.

Have to disagree with the newbie!!! Evolution was a great comeback for X-men. As an X-men fan I happy with the series we all ready saw the adult X-men with the great Fox verison and in the comics. And alot of people forget that when X-men (comic) was first made they were teenagers just like Spider-Man.

I have to disagree.

X-Men Evolution doesn't deal with the comic book storyline like the old X-Men did.

The whole mutants vs. humans dilemma has taken a back seat to teen issues.

The love triangle between Cyclopes, Wolverine and Jean doesn't exist in X-Men Evolution.

It seems silly that Wolverine is some sort of teacher to the muntant teenagers.

Rogue is now a goth girl, WTF?! What happen to Rogue's trouble past?

X-Men Evolution feels like an insult to the X-Men comicbook storyline.

And your point is......

The whole mutants vs. humans dilemma has taken a back seat to teen issues.

Not really the 3rd season is going to involve more of the comic history.

The love triangle between Cyclopes, Wolverine and Jean doesn't exist in X-Men Evolution.

You kinda make a good point.... almost but not quite.

It seems silly that Wolverine is some sort of teacher to the muntant teenagers.

Rogue is now a goth girl, WTF?! What happen to Rogue's trouble past?

In the 3rd season :p

Sorry you feel that way :( Anyway the Fox verison already settled the comic based stoylines and X-men:tas was great while it lasted but I like change and X-men:Evo is turning out to be very great darn show everything is not going to be like the original deal with it I have :D

I would really like to see Disney animate a new animated series starring Scrooge McDuck. Duck Tales was good for what it was, but it pales in comparison to the original stories by Carl Barks. McDuck is one of the finest, well-rounded personalities in all of the Magic Kingdom, and I think he deserves his due.

Carl Bark's comic book stories are some of the greatest ever written.

ROCKO!! I've been looking through this thing for the past fourty five minutes and most of you have mentioned "Rocko's Modern Life". I agree. Before I found the hidden gem of television, Home Movies, I would call myself a Rocko fan. This show seriously needs a comeback. And not a crappy one like other shows! Ones like Home Movies!...

Rocko, Angry Beavears, and What's With Andy?

I don't see why they cancelled Waht's With Andy? That so was great; the only thing I hated about it was in almost every eoisode Andy ended up in his Underwere. The gag's were priceless, though. The "nubbie" episode rocked.

Angry Beavers was everything. If they still had this on I would be EXTREMLY crazy about it. It was my favorate show when untill they took it off. :( Why does nick ONLY take off good shows?

Rocko was really good, and I love anything Steve Hillenburg. I bet they took it off because of all the indeous. ( I know, I spelt it wrong).
