I'm a really big roller coaster enthusiast, so I was just wondering what some everyone's favorites were. I'd love to find some great new ones that I haven't ridden yet.
One of my favorites is the Alpengiest at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. I like all twists and loops in it and all other coasters like it. The Millennium Force at Cedar Point in Ohio is awesome too. It has an amazing first hill. Some great wooden coasters are the Thunderbolt at Kennywood, PA and the Lightening Racer at Hershey Park. Has anyone else ridden these?? Heck, I like so many coasters I can't even begin to list 'em all.... :D

Anything at Busch Gardens is good! But then again, they are the only ones I ever went to...
....the Alpenghiest I was terrified of, but by the time I finally got on it, I descovered it shocked me the least....but it was still an enjoyable ride. My fav coaster overall is the Loch Ness Monster from B. Gardens...

Roller Coasters, huh? I can't remember the last time I've been to a theme park. But my fav was always "Superman" at Six flags. I'm deathly afraid of heights, so when I went on it I was scared as hell.
But when I came back down, it wasn't so bad. It was actualy fun, I'll have to go there again next summer, cuz I don't have time anymore.

I've never been to any of the Six Flags theme parks. With all of the theme parks I go to ever year, that's pretty wierd. I live pretty close to the on near Washington D.C., but I usually go to Paramount's Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens instead. I'd love to go to some of the Six Flags parks though, because I've heard that some of them have great coasters.

I used to be pretty afraid of rollercoasters, but have gotten over it lately. I don't go to amusement parks much, so that kind of got in the way of me getting over my fear. I went on a bunch of rides this year and got over my fears...for the most part anyways.
We have a Six Flags near where I live, that's the last place I went. I liked the Superman ride, we went in the fall so many rides were shut down. It's a pretty new Six Flags, it used to be called Riverside but Six Flags bought it a couple of years ago and added a lot of rides like Superman. I hadn't gone in a long time too, probably like 7 years, so it was nice to go and see what additions were made.
Not to scare you guys, but the Superman ride here had a crash a while ago. I guess what happened was one of the cars was coming in to the end of the ride, but didn't stop. So it just kept going and hit the car where people were waiting to get on to the ride. I don't think that anyone was in the car that was stopped though, I think they hadn't let people on yet. The article I read was unclear on that. Anyways, over 20 people had to be rushed to the hospital for broken bones, and some others who were just bleeding a lot. It was pretty sad, especially because, like I say, I just went there this year. But at least no one died, and I'm guessing everyone recovered OK.

I also used to be scared of roller coasters, but I got over it last year. I'm still not that big a fan of them though, mainly because they're not long enough - which really bites when the park is crowded & you've been waiting for 30-45 min!
I grew up in Florida so my exposure to roller coasters has been Islands of Adventure & Busch Garden, I went to Busch Gardens less than 3 weeks ago. Of all the coasters I've been on, Montu was the best. After riding the new wooden roller coaster as Busch Gardens I must say I'm NOT a fan, much too noise and bumpy.

My dad LOVES wooden coasters, and since he's the one who introduced me to coasters, I get dragged onto every wooden coaster that he wants to go on. :p I don't mind them too much, and some of them are really fun, but I think some of the steel coasters are more fun and usually smoother. Some of the older steel coasters have those shoulder restraints that go over your head though, and you end up having your head banged back and forth against the restraint. I can't stand those. A lot of the new steel coaster don't use those anymore, so I'm happy. :D

I was not afraid of roller coasters, but I never went on roller coasters with loops before, because no one ever wanted to wait in line with me.
But a week ago, I went on a road trip with some friends to Toronto, and we went to Wonderland, and went on a whole bunch of them (This includes standing in line for an hour for each of them), so yay! Favorites: Dragonfire, Top gun, The Bat at Canada's Paramount Wonderland.

no one here mentions Paramounts Kings Island in Cincinnati? They hold the record for the most rides in a single park, AND They have the only looping wooden roller coaster in the world, plus King Cobra, the worlds first stand up looping coaster, and the beast, which is the longest roller coaster in the world!

Sorry Betaman! How could I forget Kings Island!?! Actually, I've only been to Kings Island once, and that was a while ago, so I don't remember it too well. I do remember the Beast though, and it's an awesome coaster! Plus, it's one of my Dad's very favorite coasters, which is a big compliment because he's ridden so many coasters! :)
