What is up with Toonami?

What is going on on CN? I'm referring to the thing that's been coming on during Toonami saying, "due to forces beyond our control we won't be showing some of your favorite shows anymore."? Then they list Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star and Big O. What force are they talking about? What is going on?

I'm not to upset about Outlaw Star, but losing Gundam and Big O will suck.

All you have to know is that Jamie Kellner took over at CN and had the Toonami block scaled back by an hour, and added extra showings of Ed, Edd, & Eddy. I'm hoping this is only temporary. Plus this doesn't help when they say they want to have more 'adult-oriented' cartoons, and they chuck some of the best.

dude has some very inseidious plans for Toonami, and one can only begin to wonder what his hiring might do to the JLA, and the Cartoon Cartoons. You know, the PPG have to have morality epilouges, Dexter having an educational segment? Wasn't it him who said it was a good idea to put Elmyre with Pinky and the Brain?

Man, I hope he just leaves all the good stuff alone. Plus, all those other upcoming shows, like SAMAURI JACK, might be in trouble. I doubt it, though. I can't see him messing with 'im.

There I must concur. I also don't care for the writing on Sheep in the Big City and Courage the Cowardly Dog, yet I watch them frequently just to see how bad they are. Egads, they're right--I am a sadistic frig. :eek:

BTW, I love the vomiting smiley. Something like that will come in handy on my reviews come the KWB fall season.

I have an Ed-like brother myself. I'm the Edd-like brother. Don't think we ever had an Eddy-like brother. To me, Antonucci doesn't really seem to like his characters much. The whole cul-de-sac comes across as mean-spirited caricatures than people. I do watch sometimes, like you say, to see how bad it is. Likewise the post-Partible Johnny Bravo and Courage.

Is Mike, Lu, and Og still on? Didn't see much of it. It was kind of boring, but the theme was good, and the implications of showing Og's behind every episode were interesting.

I didn't think Escaflowne wasn't coming to TOONAMI because it was a Fox Kids/Saban show.

Depends if Fox/Saban are willing to sell the broadcast rights to Toonami. I doubt it. They have a habit of holding rights to TV series while they remain inactive. Saban still has the rights to the 1995 UPN show 'Teknoman,' and doggonit, I want that show released in an uncut format!

There is no way that the Cartoon Network willing to sell out Toonami to that Digimon/Power Ranger Company known as Saban. Heck might as well sell Cartoon Network to Nickelodeon!!!:mad:

Are they getting Cowboy Bebop? Where'd you hear that? Is it a reliable source?

Cowboy Bebop has never gone beyond the "we are interested in it" stage at CN. They'd have to skip a lot of episodes from the series, though. Many of the key episodes are more extreme than they would like.
