Heh! Donna... :D
I, too, choose Jack. He's a hero in the classic legendary sense. There's no denying that of him.
I've also always liked Superman rather than Batman. Not quite as dark and brooding, but that's just a preference of mine.

Son Goku... he is my favorite. Especially his personality and his love for life. Sure the story is simple and the villians are typical, but I love it very much. All of the Z fighters in fact are some of my favorite heros. Even Vegeta. I love how much he has grown through out the show, and the fact that he took his life in hopes of saving the ones he loved most, Trunks and Bulma. It was very touching.

Batman, hands down. The thing I like about Batman is that he's not a mutant or an alien, he doesn't even have a magic ring. He just has a lot of gadgets, and more importantly, he is dedicated to the point of obsession. He took the most painful experience of his life, and one of the most painful experiences that ANYONE can ever have, and used it as a motivation to change the world around him for the better. That means a helluva lot more to me than some guy who kind of flew in and said, "Wow, I have godlike powers, I guess I'll fight crime." (Not to name any names.) (-:

Superman. Always liked the Man of Steel (his comics were some of the first ones I ever bought), moreso than Batman (more into lighter-hearted superheroics than the whole "grim and gritty"/"dark and brooding" thing, as much as I liked B:TAS). Plus, Superman *is* a hero...and proof that one doesn't have to have a surly attitude/kewl costume with 47 gazillion semi-functional pockets all over it/make a deal with the devil and live in an alleyway/ability to have Ginsu knives shooting out of one's hands to be a hero (as interesting as some of those facets may be) ;-)
Besides, in the older comics (and to a lesser extent on S:TAS), Supes felt pretty badly about his home *planet* having bought the farm....not that that should diminish Bats' tragic loss any moreso or anything....
-B.
Who also likes Capt. Marvel (Billy Batson/"Shazam" version), Wonder Woman, and the Flash...

Samurai Jack's a good one. He kind of reminds me of Roland in Stephen King's "Gunslinger" series. Yes he's strong, yes he's a badass fighter, yes he's got the skillz, but it seems like half the time what gets him through to win the day is nothing more than sheer doggedness and strength of will.

Compared to Goku. He goes beyond super strong. I know they all three are all super strong in their own respects. And I much prefer their personal strength compared to DBZ's. I was thinking more along the lines of brute strength, and a sky rocketing level of testosterone. When I first posted I was going more a long the lines of the strongest hero of all. Because Goku and the other Z fighters are unbelievably strong, too strong, after the Cell games it just got a bit out of hand. I know compared to the average human being Lina, Tenchi, and Kenshin are unbelievalby strong. Sorry if I offended.

OK...in terms of just overall power i guess i see what you are talking about but Lina and Tenchi both could wipe out Goku or whoever from the DBZ universe. if Light Hawk Wings allow a person to travel through a black hole with passengers unhindered nor hurt then my vote goes to him...and when someone has something that can erase all of existance and it takes less time for her to do then going SSJ lvl 3 then there is something else to it...
oh well...just my opinion...

Favourite Hero: Batman
Favourite non-human hero: Darkwing Duck
Funny how, in many ways, these two are amazingly similar.

I don't really think you can compare any of them to eachother. Especially Tenchi. For one, when you see Tenchi he is generally not in his Jurai warrior state. So you tend not to think of him as the boy who can create the light hawk wings. So generally if you think of Goku vs. Tenchi, you automatically think Goku. I agree with you on the going through the black hole, I don't think Goku could actually kill Tenchi(not like it would ever come to that). Another thing about Tenchi is you never really see him use all of his power to beat somebody up. His battle with Kagato was rather short so you don't really have a good idea of how tough he really is. Except for the fact that he traveled through a black hole. I don't know maybe in the next OAV we will see him display more of his strength. But for one thing I would love to see Tenchi fight somebody as strong as any one of the Z fighters and win.
I think even in Gokus ascended Super Saiyan state he has the power to destroy the earth. Who says you have to use all your power to destroy the world? But does it really matter?
