Scene: New York. Green Lantern is flying through the sky, searching for Titans Tower.

GL: Wonder where it is?

Suddenly, a giant meteor rushes past GL and crashes lands in Central Park. People scream and run for their lives as the alien walkers emerge and start to lay waste everything in their path. GL’s eyes widen in shock.

GL: This is not good.

Fire from the meteor starts to burn the foliage in the park. GL rushes to help.

Titans Together!

(Cue Theme)

Scene: Central Park. The walkers blast the trees and ground. People run. A homeless man wakes up on a park bench and looks up.

Homeless Man: Oh my gentle Jesus…

One walker looks down at him and fires. Suddenly, a green barrier appears, blocking the laser. The homeless man drops his bottle of liqueur and staggers away. The walker looks up and sees Green Lantern hurtling towards it. GL blasts the walker with a burst of GL power ring energy. The walker shoots back several blasts. GL dodges and creates a giant hammer with his ring. He uses it to smash the walker on the head several times.

GL: Ha! How do you like being in pain, ugly?

GL is hit from behind by a blast of laser fire and is sent flying into a tree. He flops onto the ground and sits up, rubbing his head.

GL: Owww…

A dozen white aliens approach him, weapons raised.

GL: I think I might need a little help.

Scene: The Batcave. Alfred is seated at the Batcomputer. Batman’s image is on the video screen.

Alfred: Apparently, the invaders conquered Metropolis in under an hour.

Batman: They must have waited until we were gone before they attacked. I wish we could be there to repulse them, but Darkseid’s invading Oa. They need us here.

Alfred: Master Tim is on his way to a new program in New York. What’s it called? The Gods? The Teens?

Batman: The Titans! Of course!

Alfred: Sir?

Batman: A few weeks ago, an agent for the D.E.O approached Superman and I with a proposal for a team of superheroes made up of teenage and young heroes.

There is the sound of an explosion in the background.

Batman: Darn! They just destroyed one of the ion turrets!
I have to go Alfred. We’ll be back as soon we’re done here.

The screen goes dark.

Alfred: I hope young Master Tim is all right.

Scene: Central Park. The aliens have surrounded Green Lantern. He raises his hands.

GL: Help.

The aliens move in for the kill, when they spot something overhead. Superboy flies straight at an alien walker and slams it, arms out stretched. The walker staggers, then topples to the ground. The other two walker turn to open fire on Superboy. He flies between them. Just as they fire, Superboy dives, causing the two walkers to shoot each other. Superboy lands on the ground and launches a series of punches and kicks at the aliens. Three go down, while GL uses his ring to finish the rest off. Superboy turns to GL. GL whistles softly.

GL: Superboy, I presume?

Scene: Road into New York. The Batcycle zooms along the road. Suddenly, an alien walker jumps out of the water and onto the bridge. Cars veer off. Batgirl gasps. The walker starts shooting lasers. Batgirl dodges several blasts.

Batgirl (to onboard computer): Surface-to-Air Missiles.

From panels on either side of the Batcycle, missile launchers extend out on meter long poles. The missiles on either launcher unfold from their compact state, ala The World Is Not Enough. Batgirl waits until the targeting computer HUD winks green, and then presses a red button on the display. The missiles launch and arc toward the alien walker. They explode, but they do nothing to the walker.

Batgirl: What?!

The walker fires it’s laser blasts. One blast hits the road right in front of the Batcycle, sending it out of control. It smashes through the bridge railing and lands into the water. Batgirl re-surfaces. Instead of sinking, the Batcycle floats on top of the water using its emergency flotation devices.

Scene: Above New York. GL and Superboy are flying over the city, looking for Titans Tower.

GL: Has to be in the city somewhere.

Suddenly, there is an explosion. Alien starfighters are coming after them. GL uses his ring to fire green laser bolts at the alien fighters. Two go down, but a dozen more are coming. They open fire. One blast hits Superboy hard, sending him tumbling toward the ground. GL creates a bubble and catches Superboy. He lands back in Central Park. An alien starfighter comes up behind him. GL turns. The fighter is about to fire, when it is suddenly hit by two missiles and explodes.

GL: Huh?

Batgirl zooms around the corner on the Batcycle. Her Batcycle's SAM launchers retract into their panels. More alien fighters come over the tree line. One fires at the Batcycle. It hits the ground in front of the Batcycle, causing it’s front wheel to come off and roll into the bushes. Batgirl leaps from the Batcycle just before it rolls. The aliens seem to have the upper hand, when a fighter is hit by a lightning bolt and crashes into the ground. Batgirl, GL and Superboy look up to see Captain Marvel Jr., The Fly and Wonder Girl flying through the air, attacking the starfighters. CM3 summons magic lightning bolts, Fly uses his sonic vibration and Wonder Girl pounds the fighters with her fists, using her super strength. GL takes flight and creates a giant hammer. He smashes several fighters with it. The remaining fighters attempt to retreat, but one is hit by missile fire. The Redbird Batcycle comes around a corner and screeches to a stop. CM3 and GL
finish off the remaining fighters and come back down to
the assembled group of heroes. Suddenly, Impulse bursts through the tree line, carrying the Batcycle’s front wheel.

Impulse: Hey Bats!

He stops in front of Batgirl.

Impulse: I think this is yours.

He sets the wheel down. From around the corner, The Flamemobile comes to a stop. Flamebird steps out. Risk bursts out from the tree line, Changeling leaps down from a tree, Aqualad bursts out of a pond and somersaults onto the ground and Arsenal lands his air transport. He steps out and joins the other heroes.

Impulse: It’s raining heroes! I guess we’re all here for the Titans.

Everyone else nods.

GL: Superboy and I were looking for the tower when the fighters attacked.

Robin: Well, before we find it, we’ve got to get rid of these aliens.

Impulse: What?! You mean saving the world?

Batgirl: That’s right.

Impulse: No way! I didn’t bargain for this!

There is a loud boom in the background.

Batgirl: You hear that?

Impulse: Yeah?

Batgirl: That is the sound of a hundred terrible things, headed this way.

Robin grins. He knows what Batgirl is doing.

Robin: If they find us, they will crush us, grind us into tiny pieces and BLAST us into oblivion!

Impulse thinks for a moment.

Impulse: Oh. I see your point.

There is a moment of silence.

Flamebird: So, what’s the plan?

Risk: I say we just run in there and blow ‘em to smithereens!

Everyone else looks at him blankly. Risk smiles sheepishly.

Risk: Just a thought.

Arsenal steps forward.

Arsenal: There are thirteen of us, so we should split into teams.

Impulse rushes up to Wonder Girl.

Impulse: Dibs on Wonder Girl!

Robin turns to Batgirl.

Robin: What do you think Batgirl?

Scene: Central Park, five minutes later. The Titans are in groups. Flamebird, Risk, Superboy and Wonder Girl are in one. Aqualad, CM3, GL, Impulse and Robin are in the second. The third is made up of Arsenal, Changeling, and Fly. Batgirl tightens the last screw on the Batcycle’s repaired wheel and comes over to Changeling and Fly.

Batgirl: All set?

Rest of the Titans: Yeah!

Batgirl: Let’s do it.

Scene: The Ocean. Impulse is running across the water. GL and CM3 are flying after him. GL is carrying Aqualad and Robin in a bubble.

GL: Hey, Impulse! Slow down, will ya? We can’t keep up!

Impulse turns his head.

Impulse: You’re no fun!

CM3: This isn’t supposed to be fun! We’ve got a job to do!

Impulse: Blah, blah, blah…

He runs faster.

Scene: Metropolis. The streets are ruined. Buildings are ablaze. Overturned military jeeps and spent ammo cases litter the roads. A white alien with strange green eyes hurries into an alley where Fly, Arsenal and Batgirl are waiting. The alien morphs back into the form of Changeling.

Batgirl: Well?

Changeling: I scoured the perimeter. It’s more heavily guarded than what we thought.

Arsenal turns to Batgirl.

Arsenal: I don’t think we can win this battle.

Batgirl: The battle is a diversion, remember? You blow something up to draw the aliens away from the factory while the rest of us storm the entrance. We’ll meet there to re-group. Got it?

Everyone else nods. Arsenal sneaks through the alleyways until he is at least fifty meters directly opposite the others. He pulls out an explosive arrow from his quiver and pulls it back with his bow. He takes aim at a nearby alien walker.

Arsenal: This one’s for Green Arrow.

He let’s fly. The arrow streaks through the air before hitting one of the walker’s legs and exploding. The leg breaks away and the walker topples into the factory wall, smashing it open.

Arsenal: Not bad.

He slings his bow over his shoulder and sprints toward the opening. On the far side of the battlefield, Batgirl, Changeling and Fly are making a break for the opening, attacking aliens along the way in their different styles. They make it through the opening into the factory. Aliens fire their laser guns at them. They dodge the blasts and Batgirl throws an explosive Batarang into the wall over the aliens. The wall explodes and collapses onto the aliens. The four of them, now joined by Arsenal, run down the corridor. They come to a dead end. They look up. There is an opening in the wall above them. Fly takes flight. Changeling transforms into an eagle, grabs Arsenal and follows Fly. Batgirl pulls out her Batgrapple and fires it into the opening. It pulls her up and she runs after the others. She rounds a corner and finds the other Titans in a battle with five more aliens. She pulls out a grenade, pulls the pin and tosses it into the cluster of aliens.

Batgirl: Titans! Find cover!

The other Titans scatter as Batgirl tosses the grenade into the cluster of aliens. It goes off, sending pieces of aliens splattering against the walls. The Titans re-group and sprint down the corridor. They make a right turn, then a left, then another left, and then a right. They come out to a platform over a large chamber. Aliens are at work with strange looking machinery. There is a red crystal in the center of the chamber, suspended in mid-air.

Fly: Woah, dude! Looks like something from Star Trek.

Changeling: How do we shut this place down?

Batgirl: I have a plan…

Scene: Antarctica. The aliens have established a factory similar to the one in Metropolis. Aqualad, CM3, GL, Impulse and Robin are huddling behind a large ice rock.

GL: Looks like Mr. Freeze went psycho.

Robin: He is.

GL: Huh?

Robin: Never mind.

There is a moment of silence.

Aqualad: Any ideas on taking this thing out?

Robin: See those bubbles puffing in and out?

He points to them. The others nod.

Robin: I think we should focus on them. Impulse, you create a diversion. We’ll go for the bubbles.

Impulse: Woah! Why that order? And since when did you become boss?

Robin: This isn’t about who’s boss. But unless you’ve got a better idea, this is how we do it.

There’s a moment of silence.

Robin: Okay, everyone set?

They all nod.

Robin: Then let’s rock n’ roll.

Impulse runs out and starts to make snowballs. In a second, he has a large pile. He throws one at the back of an alien walker. The walker turns round.

Impulse: Hi! Can you show me where the tour starts?

The walker starts shooting lasers, but Impulse simply evades them with his super-speed. He peppers the walker with snowballs. In the background, CM3 and GL fly toward the factory, leading Aqualad and Robin. The aliens turn and start firing lasers. Robin pulls out an Exploding Batarang and tosses it at the wall above the aliens. The wall explodes and the aliens are crushed, yet more pour out of the factory. Aqualad picks up a very large segment of broken wall and hurls it at some aliens, crushing them. CM3 and GL start attacking the large bubbles. They explode without much difficulty. Then the whole factory starts exploding. GL creates a bubble and grabs Aqualad and Robin. They fly away from the factory. CM3 grabs Impulse just as the factory explodes in one huge fireball.

Impulse: That’s one for humanity!

Aqualad: We’re not out of trouble yet. Look.

He points to a dozen alien starfighters chasing them.

Scene: Amazon rainforest, Brazil. A large clearing has been made in the forest to accommodate the alien factory. At the edge of the clearing, Flamebird, Risk, Superboy and Wonder Girl are crouched behind a pile of logs. On the other side of the clearing, they can see the bubbles that they need to destroy. Problem is, there’s a line of aliens between them and the factory.

Flamebird: Should we go around?

Risk: Why? I say we just run in there and knock ‘em down fast an’ hard!

Flamebird: Yeah, and alert every alien in the complex that we’re here.

Risk: So what? We just nuke them too!

Superboy: What about if we trigger these logs to roll towards them as a diversion?

Flamebird: That could work.

Superboy: Okay then. Flamebird, you trigger the logs, and we’ll take care of the bubbles.

Flamebird: Got it.

Risk: Woah! Who put you in charge? We’re doing this my way.

Risk runs out into the clearing. He waves his arms.

Risk: Hey, slime balls!

The aliens turn and face Risk. They raise their guns and open fire. Risk easily dodges the blasts with his super-speed. There is a rumble. The logs roll toward the aliens. Some get squashed, while others make it out of the way. Flamebird leads the other Titans towards the factory. The aliens fire their laser guns in every direction, not sure who to shoot at. The Titans pick them off one-by-one in their various styles. The last alien goes down, and the Titans meet in the center of the clearing.

Risk: Didja’ see that? WAM! POW! Am I good or what?

Flamebird walks up to him and punches him in the jaw, sending him flying to the ground.

Flamebird: You nearly got us killed! Your lucky I triggered the log slide.

Risk rubs his jaw.

Wonder Girl: I hope the others are doing better.

Scene: Metropolis alien factory. Arsenal is holding a rope attached to an arrow anchored in the ceiling. He looks at Batgirl.

Arsenal: You sure this will work?

Batgirl: It will.

Arsenal: Okay.

He takes a deep breath and swings off the ledge, bellowing a Tarzan like war cry. He swings toward the ion crystal floating in the center of the chamber. With his boots leading the way, Arsenal kicks the crystal out of its floating field. He lands on the floor and picks the crystal up. Aliens un-holster their weapons and start firing. One of them suddenly morphs back into Changeling and starts punching out aliens using Electro-knuckles. Fly zips around the chamber, dropping smoke bombs down air shafts in the walls.
While this is all happening, Batgirl climbs up the side of platform where the crystal was floating. She reaches the top and pulls out a C-4 charge from her utility belt. She sets it for five minutes and places it in the floating field where the crystal was. She pulls out her commlink.

Batgirl: Charge set! Let’s get out of here!

She pulls out her Batgrapple and fires it toward the door that they came in. The other Titans follow her lead. Fly picks up Arsenal and Changeling transforms into a hawk. They fly after Batgirl, who has reached the ledge and is now running down the corridor. They reach the place where Batgirl used the grenade when aliens come from another doorway and open fire with their ray guns. Batgirl uses an Explosive Batarang on the wall to cut the aliens off from them. She runs after the others. She is getting puffed. Cuts to the others making it out of the factory. Then there is the sound of a small explosion, and a scream.

Arsenal: Batgirl!

He lets go of Fly and runs back into the factory. He finds Batgirl half-buried under a pile of rubble. She is bleeding from the mouth, and unconscious. He picks her up and half drags, half carries her toward the exit.

Scene: Antarctica. CM3, carrying Impulse, and GL, who is carrying Aqualad and Robin using his ring, are fleeing from the starfighters. One of their lasers hit the energy bubble carrying Aqualad and Robin.

GL: My ring can’t take much more of this!

Suddenly, a laser blast ricochets off of GL’s bubble and hits CM3, knocking him out and sending both him and Impulse falling down toward the icy water.

Robin: Impulse! CM3!

The two fallen heroes hit the water.

Robin: GL! Can you see them?

GL: No. Just water and ice.

Scene: Metropolis factory. Arsenal, half-carrying, half-dragging Batgirl’s body, is about to make it out when the screen cuts to the bomb’s timer. It hit’s 0:00, and the factory explodes.

Scene: Antarctica. On an iceberg, a group of penguins suddenly scatter as CM3 drags Impulse out of the water and lays him down on the ice. And then CM3 collapses.

To Be Concluded…
