Mine would have to be Batman, all of them, followed by Darkwing Duck (I used to love this show) even though I really don't whatch it anymore. Then there would be Rockos Modern Life and Invader Zim.

Old but good topic.

I'd have to say

Batman TAS.

Gundam W (I'm probably going to change a bunch of these once I star watching more anime)

A!, F! and that family of cartoons.

Darkwing was great as well.

SIMPSONS! As a kid, it was TMNT and Duck Tales. Currently, it's futurama! I have pity for the mods........they're going to have to merge this one with the original one.

Inspector Gadget is one of those cartoons you are desperate to see - until you see it. I saw it again recently, and while I enjoyed it (the score itself is cool), it was irritating.... but then so was 'Get Smart', so I shouldn't have been too surprised about this!!!

You just WISH they would let Gadget actually solve something himself for once - I end up tearing my hair out rooting for him to do something vaguely intelligent..!

Anyone see the recent dreadful spinoff, Gadget Boy wasn't it? That was truely awful.....

Batman TAS, followed by the others.

I really liked TMNT as a kid, but i haven't seen it in ages.

Can't think of any others right now.

Histeria!
The Simpsons
Dexter's Laboratory.

Have to agree with SJJ completely on Inspector Gadget....maybe it's one of those shows that are MEANT to be a childhood show.

I liked TMNT too! But I wonder why the Turtles had to fight the NEW villain (forget the name) who painted them as enemies of Earth; and gave humanity new technology to eliminate the Turtles. Anyone know what happened to this guy on the series?

BotP - cool.

95% of the Simpson seems a LITTLE high... perhaps if they didn't show the SAME ones OVER and OVER again, I maybe less jaded....

But every eppy of the Simpsons is good....so it's not that bad seeing them over and over. There's usually something to chuckle at every time you see an eppy.

What eppys do they show over and over? To me, it seems they air a good variety.

You listed Histeria first...Some of those shows were truly great..Satire on a very high level.. Whith great music by Richard Stoner I am an ex history teacher, high school, and you could see the work that went into them..Some did not work, but the best of the series could stand up, critically, to anything ever done on TV.:D Best of luck to all---old toon guy

How to rate your favorites,,,It will depend on who rates, and who grew up when...Also, who has access to what..I do not have cable, so I do not see the cartoon channel. I have thought about getting cable, just for that reason..Also, if someone never saw a toon, or series, obviously, they won't consider it..I only saw a few Tiny Toons, one had a take off on the famous ride in the mine cars from Indiana Jones Temple of Doom, that was great.... So if I saw more of them, perhaps I woud rate them my favorites...Anyway, a good topic for thought and inspiration.. Good luck to all :) oldtoonguy

There was an anime show on UPN back in 1995--Teknoman. That was a surprisingly gripping show, even when edited.

I should mention Batman: TAS as well. The first season was truly great.

Cowboy Bebop is too new at the moment. A couple of years and it may reach my best list.

Outlaw Star

Outlaw Star is pretty good, too bad CN only aired 25 out of 26 episodes.:(

Dragonball (all series, DBZ and the upcoming GT version)

Well, I like Dragonball, from the Pilif saga to the end of Majin Buu. The first 23 episodes of GT suck, it's an OK show after that, but they all got way to powerful during that series (Well after Freeza they were too powerful.).

The rest is OK, but I hate Histeria!

Well, most of my favourites have been mentioed already (Battle of the Planets/Gatchaman, all Batman etc), but my bestest cartoon when I was a kid was "Ulysses 31"!!! I LOVED that cartoon!!!

I have some more I forgot to mention-sorry 'bout that....
The old Garfield cartoon was good. U.S. Acres was alright....but I always waited by those until the fat cat himself came back up.
Futurama is good too, though I have not seen it in quite a bit. Why did it go from 8:30 P.M. to a 7:00 P.M. slot?

I recently had an uncomfortable time slot on Fox Kids UK. It kept shifting - however I saw a few and it is as good now as it was then. I wish the soundtrack was available. Probably a good thing it isn't as there are some certain melodies that sound almost directly ripped from John Williams' Empire Strikes Back score!

Bad boy Ulysses!

Interesting Battle Of The Planets/Ulysses 31 tie - they both have had the same toy range come out from Taiwan under different stickers (or near enough the same as far as I can tell). The Gatchasparten from Gatchaman F (Battle Of The Planets lost cousin) was released again under the name of Ulysses I believe... correct me if I'm wrong but I'm gambling no one is anal enough to know..... :)

The soundtrack to Ulysses was indeed STONKING (wink...)!

As for the toys, the only Ulysses toys I know are the Popy die-cast range from France (y'know, the ones we beat at Agincourt...), and what I know about Gatchaman toys I could write on the back of a postage stamp, so I'll have to take your word for it...

Sponge Bob Square Pants is perhaps some of the best animation on Nick right now, but I also really enjoy the Wild Thornberrys, tho the show does get moved around on the schedule quite a bit so sometimes it's hard to keep up with.
