Not P.O.V. And not a cop, a security guard. Think of what most people consider to be the "less than sterling" BTAS episodes (and unfortunately, there are a few of them). It's one of them.

Name all the episodes of TNBA that feature both Batman and Superman. There are three - and specify where they appear.
"Knight Time" - Superman and Batman are together near the end when Batman is healing in the Batcave. Throughout the episode, it is Superman (as Batman) and Robin.
"The Demon Reborn" - Superman and Batman almost throughout. They meet up in a warehouse, I believe.
"World's Finest" Parts 1, 2, and 3 - Superman and Batman throughout the episode. They meet many times such as the Daily Planet, Bruce's airplane landing, Bruce/Lois dinner, etc.
(Um, Tim, "Knight Time" and "The Demon Reborn" are techincally S:TAS episodes. Is that what you meant?)

"Girls Nite Out"
"Sins of the Father"
"Double Talk"
Just a guess..... :p
M'ral
11-15-2002, 11:27 PM
Well, I know GIRLS' NIGHT OUT is right, Batman has a few lines, and Superman shows up alongside Batman on Barbara's computer screen when she demonstrates to Supergirl her hacking skills.
Clark Kent showed up in DOUBLE TALK, lounging around on the grass with Lois in the background of one of Arnold Wesker's scenes, but I don't know if that counts.
Metropolis was mentioned in SINS OF THE FATHER, but I don't remember either Clark or Superman actually appearing.
But two out of three ain't bad! :)
Umm...I"ll have to get back to you on the third one. :D
And P.S: I resent the fact that WORLD'S FINEST and DEMON REBORN were billed as "Superman" episodes, though KNIGHT TIME, admittedly, was all about Supes. Do you know Batman got third billing in the WORLD'S FINEST credits? THIRD!! Behind LOIS!!
TimTwoFace

DOUBLE TALK and GIRLS NIGHT OUT are definitely right. There's still one more...and no, SINS OF THE FATHER doesn't count. The mentioning of the Metropolis River is not the same as seeing Clark's face. :)

Okay, here's my doozy of a question:
Name all 12 characters in STAS that definitely know (or knew) that Superman is Clark Kent (besides Superman himself of course).
What I mean by "definitely know" means that the character said at least one line in the show that means that they know. For example, with his powers, Darkseid may know Superman is Clark Kent, but he never said he did. Further, although Clark jokingly "revealed" his secret to Lois in "The Main Man" part 1, and Lois heard Martha Kent refer to Superman as "Clark" in "Father's Day", Lois herself never said anything that confirmed she knew, and hence, she doesn't count either (but Martha does -- there's a freebie for you).
And to make it easier for me to judge/keep track of the answers, you must list all twelve characters in your post (even those mentioned in another post, like Martha Kent). In return, I promise to reveal all of the show references when I reveal/confirm the answer.
Let the brainbusting begin.

murmur
11-20-2002, 02:46 AM
Okay, I'm pretty sure I've got the list right:
Jonathan Kent
Martha Kent
Supergirl
Batman
Mr. Mxyzptlk
Det. Bowman
Parasite
Lana Lang
Braniac
Chameleon Boy
Cosmic Boy
Saturn Girl
Oh, and a 13th character...Superman! Hehe. Well, he does know!
The Kents and Supergirl need no explanation of course. Batman tracks the info down by the end of World's Finest I, Mxy shows off his knowledge early on in "Mxyzpxilated," Det. Bowman figures it out and gets to live with his knowledge for a dramatic second before getting fried in "The Late Mr. Kent," Parasite abosrbs the knowledge in both "Feeding Time" and "Double Trouble" before losing it at the end of each episode, Lana shows off her knowledge at the beginning of "My Girl," and the last four all go off to find Clark Kent as Supes in "New Kids in Town."
Batgirl and Supergirl share each other's identities for some reason, but Supes is kept out of it. Robin does work with Supes, and is out of costume at some point in "Knight Time," so Supes would logically have no problem figuring Tim out, but it doesn't work the other way around because Supes is never Clark in that episode. I would put money on Ra's knowing if we cornered Bruce Timm and asked him, but it's never proven (Talia uses Lois to lure Supes...she doesn't need to resort to using Clark).
So, DL, now that I ruined your fun by naming all the episodes, how about I compensate by giving you first crack at the companion question...You have to confirm my answer anyway. :)
Name 16 characters that demonstrate knowledge that Bruce Wayne is or was Batman. That is, other than himself :p. All episodes and movies in Bruce Timm continuity count, including Batman Beyond, but not dream sequences (Gordon and the GPD do not know just because of Over the Edge). The same restrictions apply as the previous question as well. In other words, the characters must make it completely obvious that they know during an episode. Zatanna, for example, could easily figure it out, but she doesn't say so during the episode.
Cyber E.

How many times does Bugs Bunny appear in BTAS episodes or movies? And, when were these instances?
-Tim
M'ral
11-20-2002, 02:51 PM
I can think of two times, once in ROTJ (Ace is watching a Bugs Bunny cartoon), once in JOKER'S WILD (At some point, the TV in Arkham was tuned into a Bugs Bunny cartoon--I think it was at the end of the episode when Joker turns off the news report of his capture, prompting Poison Ivy, the Mad Hatter, and the Scarecrow to shout indignantly, "Hey, we were watching that!!"). I think one of the times a character was shown reading a comic book (either the Joker in THE TRIAL or a security guard in I forget which episode), it was a Bugs Bunny comic, but it might have been Tiny Toon Adventures.
Somebody please tell me if I'm on the right track!

And thank you for rewording this question so eloquently for Batman. Here is my list:
My pleasure. Fortunately I said "Name 16" instead of "Name the 16," because I forgot a couple of the ones you mentioned!
Alfred Pennyworth
Dick Grayson
Tim Drake
Barbara Gordon
The basic Bat-Family needs no further introduction. :)
Ras A Ghul
Talia
Ubu
I did, of course, count Ra's and Talia, but for some reason Ubu espcaped me. Ras' knowledge is demonstrated in front of Ubu at the beginning of the "Demon's Quest." Talia recognizes her "Beloved" on sight as both Bruce Wayne and Batman in "Avatar."
Leslie Thomkins
I can't believe I missed this one. Kudos. Her "Appointment in Crime Alley" with Batman is of course a tribute to the Waynes.
Kyodai Ken
"Fighting styles are like fingerprints."--"Day of the Samurai"
Dr Hugo Strange
Yes, he does of course discover "The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne." Whether he still believes it after Robin's stunt is anyone's guess. Penguin, Two-Face and the Joker (at least at that point) are just completely clueless about it though.
Andrea Beaumont
Toward the end of Mask of Phantasm she does indeed see him in and out of costume...and a little bit more ;).
Terry McGuiness (Beyond)
Of course, from the first episode.
The Joker (Beyond)
Yes, from his chilling monologue in the Return of the Joker flashback. But you forgot that Harley Quinn was right there with him.
Hardac
Another one I missed. I'm glad you didn't extend this character into all the robots it created!
Superman
Yeah, in "World's Finest I," a rather shady use of X-Ray vision if you ask me.
Lois Lane
And a rather coincidental demasking in "World's Finest III..."
I believe that is right. If so, next question is up for grabs.
Yup, you named 16. The others I was thinking of...
Harley Quinn (mentioned above)
Maxine Gibson -- From "Final Cut:"
Terry/Batman: You know I never told you who [my partner] is. Max: Let me guess--Bruce Wayne?!
Terry: I guess it wasn't that hard to figure out.
Max: Like, the first day!
Ian Peek -- In "Sneak Peek" he discovers and nearly reveals this info to the world before falling into its bowels...
Just for fun, I'll point out that the subtext and voice acting for Yorou Sensei ("Day of the Samurai") makes it fairly obvious that he knows Bruce's secret and Kairi ("Day of the Samurai," "Curse of the Kobra") would be very dumb if she couldn't piece it together, but both of them use discretion befitting their discipline, making it impossible to prove that they know.
Anyway, back to Bugs...:-p
TimTwoFace

Yes M'ral, you are correct! The comic book you're thinking of IS in fact a Tiny Toons book (in JOKER'S FAVOR), so the only times Bugs has appeared was in JOKER'S WILD and RETURN OF THE JOKER. Dini really had a thing for the ol' WB toons, didn't he?
