Three hours before the show airs, how bout that.

Tune in to SmackDown! tonight at 8/7 p.m. CT on UPN! As announced during RAW, The Next Big Thing, Brock Lesnar, will face Rikishi as he gears up for his SummerSlam showdown with The Rock! The People's Champion will be at the KeyArena in Seatte, watching his future opponent's every move!

On last week's show, Kurt Angle suffered a surprising loss at the hands of Rey Mysterio. Losing to a smaller opponent has weighed heavily on the Olympic hero's mind. How will he attempt to repair the damage done to his pride? Tune in to SmackDown! to find out!

Stacy Keibler double-crossed Stephanie McMahon last week, giving Eric Bischoff a contract that allows Rob Van Dam to face Chris Benoit for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. How will the SmackDown! General Manager react? Tune in tonight!

Also, Nidia takes on Torrie Wilson in a red-hot women's division match-up, and Eddie Guerrero teams with Chavo Guerrero against Edge and Rey Mysterio!

You never know what will happen on SmackDown! Don't miss it tonight at 8 p.m./7 CT on UPN!

Well, the writers sure know how to spoil a good thing. The rosters were fine when the anti-americans/jericho went to RAW. No other roster moves were needed. Then they go and screw it up by moving Benoit to Smackdown, then Keibler to RAW, and now in a move that shows why Stephanie McMahanon should be fired outright regardless of who she is, Matt Hardy is split from his brother and sent to Smackdown. Yeah, this sure makes sense. The Hardies finally have a chance to go for the Tag Team titles since they're now on RAW, and you split them up!!?!?!?!! They went seperate before and it was a failure, don't they remember that!?!? I'm sorry, but I can't take Stephanie's crap anymore. She's driven me off of Smackdown, and I don't plan on watching it anymore until she's gone. Time and time again she ruins good things and I just can't take it anymore.

I wish I could! :D Stephanie's destroying my beloved WWE with her horrific writing and her horrific role on the show, its hard to see a business you like so much treated so badly, especially when its the daughter of Vince McMahanon doing it :(

You know, something about Rey Mysterio using Viscera's contact lenses just doesn't sit right with me...lol But a pretty good show.

I think that it's good that they are going their separate ways. They were practically separate already when Matt was main-eventing Heat. More details about that on wwe.com. I'm going to wait to post my opinions on Smackdown! until The Penguin posts his. It's sort of like a tradition. :D

I really don't think it's too late to replace Stephanie, don't you agree? There are so many good replacements out there: Shane, Dusty Rhodes, Vince Russo, David Arquette, a trained monkey, several million flu germs working in unison...

I like how you went down the evolutionary ladder, but I believe Russo should go after the monkey.

The Hardly Boyz suck plain and simple whether their in tag team or singles they SUCK! Anyways the tag titles should go to the Island Boys

I enjoyed SmackDown! this week, I must admit I was rather tired during it, but I think RAW was the better of the two.

 Brock's scary when he does the overly fake tough voice.

Ok so Rikishi didn't pull down his pants and the people booed?! I would've been cheering.

Did any of you folks see the Hardcore Holly-Rico encounter for the first time? Remember "Stuff happens on Velocity too." ;)

 Holy smokes! SmackDown referee shirts?! I didn't see that one coming. I'm not sure if I like them though.

It was great seeing the Eye of the Hurricane and The One and Only in the 6-man. I always liked those moves and it seems they have been MIA as of late.

MATT HARDY ON SMACKDOWN!!  I figured he would be feuding with Jeff, but this is an interesting way to go about the Hardy split. Last time their feud fell flat so why not just let them be awhile before they fight? I like how he instantly hooked up with Hurricane and Shannon. I'm interested to see where they go from here.

I don't what Stephanie is talking about. I for one like the way Dawn Marie dresses. :p ;)

I don't have anything specific to say about it, but I thought the entire Angle-Mysterio-Henry segment was very funny. "Little man." :D

Well thats it!! After Michael "Only on SmackDown!" Cole and the "SmackDown! Exclusive" Tazz declared there are no Olympians on RAW I just don't see the point in tuning in on Mondays. Gimme a break!

Henry knocking Kurt all the way outside with the counter to the ankle lock was a nice display of the big man's power.

I loved the Bischoff Subway commercial! It was just tremendously clever and a good strike back at Stephanie (plus I bet Subway payed Vince a load of cash for that one :D ).

I was actually fairly impressed with the "Lesnar-hype match" Rikishi actually looked like he had a chance which was a lot more than I was expecting.

Funaki finally gets on SmackDown! and he didn't even go for it! :p Is he doomed to Velocity now? "Indeed."

Rev. D-Von and Batista? Ok-aaaay.

Torrie and Nidia are really becoming respectable wrestlers in my view. "Cat fights" no more. :) Perhaps we'll see Kidman and Noble again at SummerSlam.

It was great seeing Eddie and Chavo teaming up! Uncle and nephew together again! :) They always had great chemistry and I think being more equal as opposed to Eddie just picking on Chavo (like in WCW) could be a real winner. I was really enjoying that tag match too, until Angle came out a wrecked it. The run-in helped their feud and SummerSlam match, but I would have rather seen the conclusion and then the beating.

Ok during the last part my tiredness got the best of me (that's what I get for staying up on here so late! :o ), but I did some tape rewinding and I thought the Rock-Benoit match was decent. It did some good feud hyping, blah, blah, blah... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The only really crappy match last night was Angle vs Mark Henry. I'm sorry, but Henry makes The Big Show look like Rey Mysterio. That match was five minutes of Angle doing everything with Henry just standing there.

Kurt Angle can't always make someone look better than they are in a match.

Is it just me, or does Stephanie have no room to talk to Dawn Marie about dressing professionally, seeing how many times Steph has popped out?

I always liked Matt Hardy(not Jeff), and I think this whole "version 1" thing may work for him, now that he's been upgraded. ;)

I wonder what Raw's referee shirts will look like.

Every day, the Rock annoys me more and more. He drags the title to the ring, and on Raw he just threw it down like it was nothing. I know it's just a prop, of course. Maybe I'm just looking for the something to complain about with Rocky.

My biggest problem with last night's Smackdown (and the WWE in general) is Steph. I mean, Bischoff plays (or, if you don't think he's acting, is) the perfect "evil guy". He really adds a lot to Raw and keeps it interesting. Steph, however, is shrill and annoying and really brings down Smackdown. "Uncle Eric" is the guy fans love to hate. "The Billion Dollar Princess" is the person that fans just hate.

this is very true, someone with such a blood curdling shriek of a voice shouldn't even be on TV. i wish she could just stay behind the scenes or something or let her brother take over, at least i think he could fit the same character Bischoff does (though not nearly as well) instead of some woman that forces me to change the channel everytime she appears.

Hmmm.....it seems as though there is nothing else to really say about Smackdown! since he basically said what I was going to say. I'm hoping that eventually, if Steph turns out to bring down ratings(keeping my fingers crossed :D), they will take out Steph and put it in Shane.

Smackdown was good. Torrie did a suplex!!! Well, I'll be danged. Dr. Tom Prichard must be one the greatest wrestling teacher ever! Nidia wasn't too shabby herself. If the WWE keeps this up, people besides me will start to take the women's division seriously. Funaki and Nidia promo was hilarious. I'm liking Nidia more and more every week. I liked the way the Angle v. Mysterio was setup. I'm glad Matt Hardy move to Smackdown.

Matt been relegated to HEAT since forever. I wasn't shocked by this move either. I mean the WWE has been pushing Jeff as single wrestler for about four months now. Marc Lloyd is an even better foil for the Rock than Kevin Kelley ever was! Stephanie was looking lovely as always. Heyman for some reason reminds me of Brother Love. Rikishi and Lesnar's match has some good power spots. I actually thought Rikishi had a chance to win. Benoit v. Rock was predictable especially when the ending was setup like it was two weeks. This week Smackdown was a vast improve over last week's show.

Well, I'm a few days late because I'd committed to watching Smackdown with a friend... and after reading everyone else's reviews, I was anticipating a *terrible* match between Mark Henry and Kurt Angle. I was sitting and watching for things to tear apart about the match, and it never happened. It didn't blow my socks off or anything, but it was a solid if uninteresting match.

FUNAKI! Here's hoping silly interview segments will lead to in-ring action.

There was a time when Rock would take about thirty seconds of interview time to humiliate the interviewer and get on with it, but every once in awhile, would devote a little more time when he had something particularly funny. Now he seems to feel compelled to devote HALF OF EVERY INTERVIEW to Coale/Lloyd/Coach/Garcia/Whoever. And it feels more contrived than funny. I think in the "old days" the interviewers truly didn't know what Rock was going to do, whereas now it's obviously scripted.

I liked the introduction of Matt Hardy. It seemed senseless when he came out and saved the faces after his seeming heel turn on Monday, but the interview segment kind of put everything in perspective. :)

I like the way the Raw/Smackdown feud is going. How do I put this? It's like, the feud is always there, even if in little ways. Specifically, the "commercial" feud and the Raw banner.
