Howdy,

The only ones who will know for sure haven't said (yet). I say it's not worth putting Canary in with GA until they come up with a good way to animate fishnet stockings. It would just be wrong to show Canary in her new (and far more practical) costume with Ollie, IMO.

Why should they? They are basically just like batman, except not as smart or skilled. And without all the technological gadgets that batman has,how are they going to help against the guys the JL goes against?Shoot arrows at them? While they might be interesting and likable characters, and might play well of of the JL characters, they wouldn't have a logical reason for being there(similar to Hawkgirl, whose only reason for being there is to be another girl).

But that's the good reason why they should appear in JL. They are non-superpowered heros just like Batman. So, in this way, they would have to be more charachter-driven than the other heroes to make it cool. That's one of the things that are somewhat lacking in this show and could be improved. Batman is so cool in JL because of this exact reason. I would like to see them like a guest characters in a episode just like Aquaman.

Whach you talkin about Alph? I'm with Young Justice - their great superhero's! And I'm sorry to bust your bubble, but Green Arrow and Black Canary are just as skilled as Batman.

They would do just fine against the villains that the JL have been going up against so far. Arrow's come a long way, and Black Canary's scream could knock down just about anything.

Here we go again...

They are not like Batman. Batman, Green Arrow, and Black Canary are different characters. That's like saying Superman and Wonder Woman are alike. And for your infomation Black Carnary was the one of the original members of the JLA (in the comicbooks if you read them) so she must of been doing something right for writer to make her an original member.

I've never understood why Zatanna and Black Canary's fishnet stockings were so difficult to animate that they were ditched. I would think they'd be just as difficult to animate as the web pattern on Spider-Man's costume.

You're probably right, it wouldn't. But, frankly, the animation from the Spidey cartoon, that was on Fox a few years ago, is proof. Yuck! :)

See,this is what I'm talking about.People think that just cause someone has powers that tmeans they are boring.Bull.A character with powers can be JUST as good as one without powers. It's just that you like seeing brain triumphing over brawn, that's why you like seeing weakling humans defeating over powered alien monsters.Well let me tell you, just because someone has brawn, doesn't mean he can't have brain either. That's why I hate how the make Superman look like such an idiot sometimes just to make Batman or Hawkgirl look smarter.

You know, I never made that connection. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the web pattern on Spidey is a less-dense mesh than a decent-looking fishnet?

I just remember a quote from one of the producers around when "Zatanna" aired, saying they tried an animation test and found that the fishnets took way too much time to animate and still looked absolutely horrible. I'd think someone would have come up with a CGI trick by now for it. Maybe that's how I'll make my million...

In any event, I know Bruce Timm has done sketches of BC and/or Zatanna in fishnets (I think some of them are up at the Bruce Timm Gallery (http://www.popcultureshock.com/timm/)), but they've never made it past the concept phase.

I don't like this fishtnet stockings thing about Black Canary. I'd rather prefer the more modern look she has in the comics right now. I think it makes more sense in being a superhero outfit. I mean: you don't want to run around the city fighting criminals wearing fishnet stockings.

Koko has a hard enough time with the "S" on Superman's chest. You tell them to animate fishnets, and they'll probably have a heart attack...or we will after seeing them botch the job.

That being said, I'd love to see Ollie and Dinah in a JL story, possibly involving Al Ghul and Talia.

Aw that's crap. The animation thing I mean. First of all, SupermanTAS did an excellent job with that S, so Koko should really get to work. Hehe.

And SpidermanTAS (94-97) had some beautifully animated episodes, like Turning Point, and Night of The Lizard. Even so, I think just a pair of stockings would be easier to animate looking like that than Spiderman's entire costume.

I say with a little hard work anything can be done. I mean these are our guys here! Bruce Timm and everyone else behind these animated hero shows! They can do practically anything I say.

I agree about Superman though. Having all those powers for so long SHOULD make him smarter (sorry, that was a crude generalization of Alph's point, but I'm trying to move myself along), and it obviously has in Superman's character's big picture (meaning not just looking at JL, but SupermanTAS and the comics).

I think the writing is as fault for that as much as it is Superman's "de-powering" that we complained about before. Batman should be dumb, and Superman be dumber. Superman should be smart, and Batman should be smarter.

I would very much like to see GA (Ollie Queen!) and Black Canary guest star in a JL episode that has Batman as it's featured member. Hawkman would be fun to use too, but not in a Batman one. Maybe Blue Beetle. The character i'd really want to see is Nightwing but he was used too much in TNBA.
