Anime Redemption

How many Anime and Manga series have villians that turn good and is looking for redemption for all the evil their done ?


Ex. Dragonball Z Vegata,Yu Yu Hakusho Hiei

Wolfwood from trigun, I guess(the anime)... Although not a villian per say, Himura kenshin.

There was Anubis, but he was not a lady. He was the one that took The Ancients place.

There was also Lady Kayura. That is who you might be talking about.

Could you consider Zechs Marquies (sp?) [from Gundam Wing] seeking redemption??

Ehhhh.....he hasn't really turned GOOD, but he kinda looking after that little human girl, so I say Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha.

Most of Zagato's henchmen from Rayearth...And even Zagato himself wasn't that evil once you read to the end of the first half of the manga...

Satoshi Hitawari from DNAngel isn't really evil, that's mainly Krad's influence on him, but he lightens up later in the manga.

To me he just seemed confused about some things.( if not all I haven't seen the show in a while thought I have EW on tape but by then all his issues have been put to rest). I think he just wanted to find something to fight for because he was a fighter I think Noin may have mentioned it some where in the series I think he did to. In then end it sems he fighting of what he feels is the right cause. If you remember he says something like. Humans have plauged this earth with ther igoranc and he wants to correct it. I feel he in the end was trying to find himself.

well all of the Jupingatena really try to change at the end of Kyoto. Sojiro Sata and Anji i think are the only ones that seek redemption in their own ways though.

Kusinagi from Blue Seed starts off as an anti-hero then later on becomes a good guy.

Several characters from DBZ started out as a villain. Piccolo, Vegeta, and Android 18(several others i'm sure, but i haven't seen all of Dragonball or all of DBZ).

Irvine in zoids

Hiei, Kurama, and to some extent Kuwabara from yu yu hakusho.

Kusinagi in blue seed(yeah that is kind of a stretch i know, but technically he was supposed to be helping the bad guys in the beginning)

...It just happens a lot, Its one of the myriad of things i like about anime.

Irvine?? :confused: . He was never really a bad guy. Now Raven on the other hand did turn good towards the end of Guradian Force.

Umm, actually RogueMartian already mentioned Piccolo.

Yamcha (sp?) is another one from Dragonball, although he turned good so early in the story that not too many people (especially DBZ fans) know that he was ever evil.

Hiead from PC, although really not a good example seeing as though

he has yet to turn good in either the anime or the manga, but he has some charectereistics of Vegeta, ne?

I can't see Hiead turning good. But, then again, I really don't think he is bad either. What has he done to be deemed a bad guy?? Is it his feud with Zero??

I REALLY hate to cross PC with DBZ but think Hiead = Vegeta and Zero = Goku

I could definitely see that (and I like to think that, like Vegeta, Hiead will be redeemed in the end, but the redemption will not sit easily upon him, also like Vegeta - you know: Vegeta generally does good against his own will; he's good, but he isn't happy about it.)

::annoyance:: Does everything have to be cross-referenced to DBZ? They could just as easily (in my head anyway) be referenced as Shuten Douji and Ryo Sanada from Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors), and that show was older than DBZ.
