If you watch closely during the scene where Jerry is shaking the stool Mammy is on, you'll see a pair of dice fall from above. The joke here is that they're rigged! How do you like that....:p

That sounds funny. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll check up on it.

Was it on cartoon network, cuz theyve edited out alot of the scenes with mammy in them?

Cartoon Network showed it, I think, twice before, some time late last year, and early this year. I think both times were late at night.

Does anybody own a lazerdisk player? Is it worth buying for all the classic cartoons available in that format? How much does one cost? Where could you find one?

"The Lonesome Mouse" aired (with the dubbed Mammy voice) on a late night T&J program the week of Thanksgiving (a.k.a. The Best Week of CN) and as a bonus at the end of late night ACME HOUR on February 4th (my mom's birthday). The CN logo might block out the dice, but thankfully, I have the original version. I'll try and make a capture of it, since I'll hopefully have mine working this week.

I once read a book at the library a few years ago that said when Mammy got scared, all sorts of stuff fell from her skirt (it mentions dice and switchblades specifically), so I'd keep a lookout for more of these things, Thad.

The following things fall from Mammy in that scene from "The Lonesome Mouse":

Pennies
Nickels
Bobby pins
Rigged Dice
A switchblade
Her skirt:eek:

I think this one also is very abusive to Mammy. I mean, Jerry cuts down the stool as if it were lumber, turns on the oven when Mammy is sitting on it, and both T&J poke her butt with forks and knives.

Yes it did. I highly reccommend trading with Glenn. He has all of the GAOLT LDs, THE ART OF TOM & JERRY VOLUME 1, THE COMPLEAT TEX AVERY, and most of the WB LDs except for the two Bugs Bunny ones.

LOL,I love it when T&J get their own back on Mammy.
But maybe the went abit too far when they poke that knive in her bum, that looks really painfall.

Not that anybody asked me... but I have LDs of all three Tom And Jerry sets, GAOLT Vols. 1,3,5, as well as the Compleat Tex Avery and the Happy Harmonies. Pity they never came out with Happy Harmonies Vol. 2 (sales were insufficent on the first). Also a shame that the American Tom and Jerry's didn't include the idiosyncratic Gene Deitch toons. Tried to get the Ub boxed set but some yahoo outbid me (how dare he!!!;)) Had to settle for Ub on DVD, WOE is me!!! :)

Call me ignorant, but what is better about laserdisk? Also, Where can you find one and for about how much? Is it worth buying one if you have DVD?
