The JL is made of the best super heroes ever correct? Superman, Wonderwoman, Green Lantern, etc.
Who will they fight? Who would be insane to go up against them? How can they be beat? They are an unstoppable super hero juggernaut. JL is getting to much hype. It will be like Power Rangers with your favorite comic book heroes.

Well, there's police forces in every city in the world, with said police (at least in the U.S.) packing heat, yet there's still crime...
My guess is that just as Superman uses his powers for good, the likes of Lex Luthor opts to use his gifts to pursue evil...and the bad guys tend to want glory/power/revenge enough to not let any obstacle, even a Superman one, stand in their way. Plus, the whole concept of superhero comics is based in the classic "good vs. evil" model that goes back for millennia in storytelling, with the presumption that good (usually) is ultimately the superior force, and will triumph over evil.
Plus, knowing that Superman or Batsy will prove victorious/survive to see another day ultimately on their own (or on a team effort) doesn't necessarily make the tale dull---see various episodes of B:TAS/S:TAS...
Plus, there's plenty of forces that the JLA can go up against to give them a workout---they've survived in the comics for 40 years (and counting) doing so against the likes of the Injustice Gang, Felix Faust (a sorceror---no relation to Wally AFAIK ;-) and, of course, Darkseid (who I'd expect will show up on this new JLA series....he is DC's master villain, after all, and definitely would give the JLA-ers a strong workout...).
And finally, how *do* the villains go up against the good guys is one of the reasons we watch B:TAS/S:TAS---to see just how they plan on trying to bring down Batsy/Supes...either that, or to see what amusing happenstances occur between the Joker and Harley Quinn :-)

Not to get pluggy or anything, but Dick Grayson and I went in together on a site at the WB Archives called the Justice League Authority. You can learn about the villians there.

My two cents on...
The JLA: What I expected. Interesting look to the Watchtower (and the use of no transporters...should be interesting to see if Batsy pilots that rocket-jet-thingy...)
The Injustice Gang: The Shade looks cooler looking here than in the comics (where his face was pretty normal-looking)...as does Luthor in his new suits (esp. that all-black number). The Ultra-Humanite looks as more-or-less like he did in the comics (only with a slightly more pronounced brain showing....which I presume might prompt comments from another brain-pronounced evil simian on another Cartoon Network show :-)
Aquaman: Have mixed feelings on this....on the one hand, I never liked the "Aqua-hook"/aggressive version of the character that's been shown of late in the comics, with the opinion that it feels rather gratuitous and indicative of what I *don't* like about comics these days (trying to make a character more "interesting" by giving him a surly attitude/stupid-looking new costume, in this case, Aquaman's hook). On the other hand, this is the only exposure Aquaman'll probably be getting on this series, and I suppose if *my* powers consisted of swimming real fast and talking to fish that I might want to have a "kewl" look, too :-) (Plus, maybe Aquaman figures it'll be a way to shore up his career with his book having been cancelled and all, with this "kewl new look"---and possible resentment towards being cut from this JLA team in favor of, of all people, *Hawkgirl*, to boot ;-)
AQUAMAN: Yeah, I know....this "new look" makes me look as stupid as "Juggy-lite" does on that dumb new "X-Men" series, and this harpoon makes me look like some walkin' reject from a "Peter Pan" attraction at D*sneyworld, but what can I say? Angst sells---look at how those kids eat up that junk on the WB, like that "Dawson's Creek" thing! Besides, I do need the work----first my comic got cancelled, then being cut from the roster of this new JLA series for freakin' *HAWKGIRL*, for crying out loud, and now *this*.... uh....well, just remember to tune in to my two part episode, starring ME! Um, oh yeah, and don't forget to write to the Cartoon Network folks for more *Aquaman*! Get those guys to give *me* more air time! Anything----reruns of that old Filmation series, Superfriends marathons starrin' me, *whatever*---just get writing! Well, so long, Aqua-fans....see ya in November! (Fade out, as Aquaman waves goodbye with his hook, then realizes he's waving the wrong arm and waves with his hand....)

What's the deal with Solomon Grundy, i never knew his origin.

As I recall, he was some bum that got exposed to chemicals or radiation er sum junk, then blacked out. When he awoke, some other bums were around him. When asked about himself, all he could remember was that he was born on a Monday, to which someone replied, "Just like Solomon Grundy". And that old nursery rhyme is a story itself, but I won't go into it @ this time.

IIRC, Grundy was spawned to life in "Slaughter Swamp" as some sort of swamp creature back in the 1940's (I think maybe he's some sort of "plant elemental" a la Swamp Thing, but I'm not sure). Solomon's persona seems to be a less charismatic/intelligent version of Bizarro from what I recall. First appeared as a villain for the JSA (and the 1940's Green Lantern); eventually was used on the "Superfriends". Not seen too often these days....

Yeah that's the only place i knew him from, the superfriends. I thought they made him up. Like Apache and the chick that grew, don't know if those two were ever in comics either.

Apache Chief was a one-dimensional character made up for the Superfriends to add diversity (though they forgot to add a personality as well....then again, the same could be said of most of the Superfriends in general ;-)
The "chick who grew" was Giganta; I think she might've been a Golden Age (1940's-era) Wonder Woman villain, but I'm not sure. I presume that she was thrown in since Wonder Woman's rogues gallery has been historically pretty weak; the Cheetah, being her most well-known foe, was probably too violent for the Superfriends makers to add in (the claws and whatnot). The others probably seemed too obscure (Dr. Psycho [IIRC, a very short guy with a large-ish head, um, bent on power or somesuch I think, who used psychoactive substances to do his dirty work...], the Angle Man (some schmoe who used a dimension-teleporting "angler" device [that looked like a triangle drawn like an optical illusion-ish manner IIRC] to do his dirty work)....
