It looks like Cartoon Network has another winning original, and another winning block. New ratings reports released today by the network show that Adult Swim Action is scoring well with its adult target audience, while new Cartoon Cartoon Whatever Happened To Robot Jones? looks like it may be Cartoon Network's newest original hit.

U.S. viewer appreciation of top Japanese Animé cartoon series continues to grow as adults 18-34 flocked to Cartoon Network's weekend late-night block, <A href="http://www.adultswim.com/action/index.html"TARGET="resource window">ADULT SWIM ACTION</a> (Saturday, 11 p.m. - 2 a.m.), in record numbers. The three-hour franchise averaged a 0.8 rating (up 100%), its highest ever among adults 18-34, and increased delivery by 126 percent. Two of the six individual series, Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star, earned highest-ever adults 18-34 ratings (0.9, up 125%) since their launch in February this year.
Highlights of individual series' ratings and delivery of adults 18-34*each indicating double and triple-digit increases vs. the same time period last year*are noted below:
* Cowboy Bebop (11:30 p.m.) * 0.9 rating (up 125%); 442,000 delivery (up 151%)
* Outlaw Star (1 a.m.) * 0.9 rating (up 125%); 414,000 delivery (up 135%)
* Yuyu Hakusho (11 p.m.) * 0.8 rating (up 60%); 378,000 delivery (up 80%)
* Gundam 0083 (12 a.m.) * 0.8 rating (up 100%); 398,000 delivery (up 131%)
* Mobile Suit Gundam (12:30 a.m.) * 0.7 rating (up 133%); 349,000 delivery (up 136%)

Additionally, Cartoon Network's Friday primetime viewing block, Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, earned the highest ratings of the night*broadcast and cable*with kids 2-11 (3.4) and kids 6-11 (3.8) with help from the growing strength of the network's newest original series, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones? (9:30 p.m.), the story of a young, spunky, 3-foot tall robot trying to cope with life, fit in with humans and, most importantly, survive the pit of adolescence hell known as junior high school. Just four weeks into its debut (July 19), the series earned its highest ratings to date with kids 6-11 (4.7, up 15%) and tweens 9-14 (3.3, up 57%).
