Hey all! I just wanted to ask this and get some feedback before I go ahead and do this. See, last year I did a series of 11 pics featuring Batman and his cast of characters, as my own personal response to the events that happened on Sept. 11th last year. Would it be considered distasteful to post these up at the drawing board? I just wanted to make sure - I did these when i was kind of emotional, so some people might consider them distasteful (though I personally don't). Any comments?

Personally? No not at all. Some other people might be a bit sensitive to it, but hey, we're all artists here, and we all express things. Your work is a piece of art, and if you want to display it for others to see, I don't see any reason, other then other people disagreeing, why you shouldn't. I mean, at least you've already asked everyone else, and even when you post it you could put a little reminder/warning just in case some people will choose not to check it out.

It just depends on what and how you do it. As long as you don't recreate anything then I don't see a problem with honoring the event.

Not a problem> i think it's a topic which should never be shyed from. I think for the very sake of what happened it should be talked about and expressed. Art is a wonderful outlet for such communication.

OK Babs, Slipknot, SJJ, thanks for the support - I actually feel quite the same way. I just wanted to be sure as to whether some people are still sensitive about it or not. Thanks for the comments, you guys - I'll post my first one right now. :)
(BTW, this thread is now closed.)
