Wouldn't the man who has been able to control local elections, manage a championship-winning baseball team, hold a chair on the board of Springfield University and build a contraption large enough to block out the sun and plunge the town into complete darkness, make a formidable foe for the Justice League?

Well, I don't think the show should focus too much of on which villains they bring in, because I feel they still have a lot to tackle with just the seven heroes. When will we see their independant, full-fledged origins? When will we see them become integrated into society by either adopting secret identities or not? When will any sexual tension be adressed between key characters (Supes and Wondie or Flash and Hawkgirl?) There's so much that the writers are avoiding, that I almost don't want to encourage the use of multiple villains in the coming second season, but what the hey....

Firstly let's get some individual villain rosters going, so that the heroes seem able to hold their own without always needing the League. Wonder Woman must confront Circe and Cheetah individually, and I'd really like to see Ares, God of War, become her major adversary of the course of the series. If he's developped gradually like Darkseid was, fans will come to love him.

Other Justice Villains like Starro and Amazo will no doubt be featured, but for now I'd much prefer that the writers save a Ra's Al Ghul/Brainiac global domination epic for the first DTV or theatre released Justice League film.

Really, I'd be pleased if those were the only villains that showed up this season...as long as the heroes finally get the development they deserve. One season of non-stop action is enough of an introduction, I think. Let's tackle the big issues, shall we?

2. Cheetah - they touched on her great origin in "Injustice For All", an emotionally driven ep featuring her, Batman and Diana would be great.

4. The Atomic Skull - great character. I love his warped, tragic mind, and his quest to keep Zelda safe - whoever that may be day to day.

6. Onomatopaeia - a new villain, but undeniably cool.

8. Mad Hatter (only if in BTAS design though!!)
