OK, since obviously there are potentially more people who like "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery" than I (as we can tell by the thread awarding the cartoon TTTP Cartoon Of The Month), I'd like to challenge all of you to dislike this cartoon.

Thus, I've opened this poll up to you. Do you think "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery" is a cartoon masterpiece, or not? I say "not". It's up to you...

I chose yes, partially influenced by the way Duck Twacy was included.

Clampett surrealism at it's finest. Not the greatest cartoon ever made, if such an award can be given, but a really, really good one.

It's okay to disagree though. That's part of the point of awarding a 'Cartoon of the Month', too get some interesting conversation started about it!

I also consider this an "Animated Masterpiece". Like "The Big Snooze" from the same year, Clampett gets a chance to go all-out wacky in a single cartoon because it is, after all, only a dream.

My favorite moments are Daffy running into Sherlock Holmes, the Porky Pig cameo at the streetcar, Daffy meeting Mouse Man, and the game of "Guess who?" with Neon Noodle.

I also chose "yes." It's one of the greatest cartoons of all time by one of the greatest cartoon directors of all time.

In addition to The Great Piggy Bank Robbery, Clampett also directed several other amazing cartoons that were released in 1946:

Baby Bottleneck
Kitty Kornered
