Okay, I work at the YMCA (and I don't get paid) taking care of a bunch of bratty 6-year-olds while their parents are out boozing it up (and from what my dad said, I'll be doing this again next year). On August 23, an overnight party at the Y is being held for the caretakers. And we can bring videos, movies, games, etc. From what I found out they're using those projecter thingies that use VHS tapes and projects them on a big screen on a wall in a "theater" in the back of the North Gym. We can bring any tapes we like, AS LONG as it's not R-rated. This got me thinking. I was gonna try and bring my June Bugs tape that has Invasion of the Nunny Snatchers, and play that. I mean, it's never been theatrically released, and I've always wanted to see this cartoon on the big screen. But, first I want to ask you guys, is it okay if I did this? Or would I be doing something illegal?

Excuse me, I meant BUNNY Snatchers, not Nunny Snatchers.

As lond as you're not charging admission, I guess it's okay! As far as I can tell, you're not breaking any copyright or re-broadcast laws. Hope the kids enjoy the show!!:D

Yeah, it's really no different than inviting a bunch of kids over and popping in a movie. The clubhouse of my apartment complex is always having "kids movie night" where they show movies on a big TV...

I wouldn't do the censored cartoons if I were you....but I think it would be a good idea to show....SPEEDY GONZALES.

a. it's legal (no fee, not open to general public)
b. nobody cares - there aren't enough lawyers to cover every playing of every tape...

paranoia reaches new heights!
