The problem is partially Sony/Columbia not doing enough to sell them to U.S. TV stations (or cable channels) - the other problem is U.S. channels not being interested. They have all the POPWERPUFF, SPONGEBOB, DRAGONBALL, DUCKTALES episodes they need - and they aim and market toward 9 to 14 year old kids.
TCM (which doesn't do acquistions) is the best candidate to show classic Hollywood cartoons. What other channels are smart enough, adult enough to treat "golden age" cartoons with the respect they deserve. Cartoon Network should do it - but their agenda is creating new animation, mainly for children. Adult Swim is in its infancy. The perfect place for the Columbia Cartoons, the Harvey Toons, the Terrytoons and Lantz cartunes is BOOMERANG - but that channel is years away from profitability, and thus has no funds to pick-up other studio product.
Your petition will be more effective if you aim it toward both Columbia and the cable networks most likely to be interested.

But the one good thing is that several members here have a great collection of the Columbia/Mintz Screen Gems cartoons on video :)

Pilmedium, you should've signed your name to it. Aliases don't count.
