use the print screen key on a computer to capture stills from Windows Media Player? I can't figure out how to set it, all I capture is black.

Sadly, if it comes out black, that means you can't get it at all.
Same goes for RealPlayer.

If you can, try pausing it on the frame that you like, take a screenshot, and then print the screenshot. Some screenshot utilities can do it, others can't do it right, but it's worth a try.
