Go to your Wal Marts! Mine had it out already (on VHS for $9.99) for $14.96. Nice price, eh? Fancy DVD too.
I just thought I'd let you guys know. I know how much some of you wanted it!!
Oh, and Wal Mart is notorious for putting out DVD's early.

To be honest - I never really liked Goonies. And the version, almost bare-bones, leaves something to be desired. If it was a pumped up SE edition I might get it, but nahh...

I gues not all the Wal-Marts got the discs up early. But trust me the wait is worth it for the menu alone.

Somebody at those Wal Marts actually must be paying attention. If somebody breaks pre street at Blockbuster, it's automatic termination. It's pretty serious. I think somebody at these Wal Marts putting DVDs out early, and at Best Buy, are skating on pretty thin ice.

Well, I wish the people at are Wal Mart would scate on thin ice:mad:

Oh, well. I can wait until Tuesday. I kinda like it when I see pre street DVDs at Best Buy, like the time I got my Robotech DVD, but I wouldn't be disappointed if somebody else got it before me. That just means they will watch it and move on to the next thing before me. Big whoop.
I could go on a tangent here about movies not yet on DVD and how people whine about it when there is so much GOOD stuff to focus on, but it would be off topic, and I won't go there.

I sure would like to hear that someday though.

The DVD is enjoyable. The menu has Batman and Robin using their classic one-liners and just going all out! HOLY INTERACTIVE MENU, BATMAN!

Holy Interactive Menu, Batman? The phrases are new? Are they recorded by the original actors?

I was looking at the upcoming DVDs at my store for Tuesday, and they don't have the Batman DVD in. I was disappointed! I guess I won't be getting that with my employee discount! I am going to check Wal Mart tomorrow!

DG, is the Planet of the Apes DVD any good? What extras does it have on it? I have been thinking about getting it, but I am not sure...

I wasn't going to get this at first, but the thing is so cheap I can't pass it up. Too bad the stores where I live are all responsible though, I didn't seen any around while shopping this weekend.
I'm wary of buying the PotA DVDs because they're out of print (Though still readily available) and its rumored an even better edition will be released to go along with the new film's DVD release. PotA was released on DVD before Fox had it's "5 star editions", which it rightfully deserves.

I got the POTA box set, and it really has no bonus features. Even if they do put out DVDs later on with bonus features, I doubt I would buy them. I like the movies, but not enough to buy twice for some bonus features.

Exactly why I'm waiting.
The only bonus I really know of in the current box set is the PotA documentary, which just had its own seperate DVD release with its own extras.

Joker,
I only bought the original POTA becuase it was mega cheap ($15) and I know they're gonna re-release the box set eventually with features and the like. I'd recommend buying the first one for now and waiting to see what FOX does. I'm sure they'll do something to coincide with the POTA revision release.
