yup rocky :D. last month my modem got struck while the PC was on. My mom punished me for a month. Today we got a new modem. Plus I've been occupied with my dreamcast. I just got Looney Tunes Space Race, Marvel Vs. Capcom 1 and Sonic Adventure today. Life is good. :)

You should have a surge protector with phone line protection. I learned my lesson the hard way too. :(

It seems that our family members are taking their vacation before the end of summer which ends in a few weeks :(

I'm not sure if my computer has a "surge protector" or not....I did have a modem get fried once before, though, on my old computer. Anyway, I just unplug everything now when there's a storm, including the phone line to the modem, so there hasn't been a problem.
