View Full Version : Why WB can't do FRIENDS Season sets, and more WB Screw-ups!

We've gotten some vague word from Warner regarding the release of more Best of Friends DVDs as opposed to complete seasons. Apparently, complicated legal, actors' rights and syndication rights issues are preventing the release of complete seasons of Friends on DVD here in the States.

As for their next screw-up - Cats & Dogs will be full frame only.

Crap, man, and I wanted to buy that DVD. Crap. Now I won't.

I definatly won't be getting it either. Why not just do the usual and make is a 2 sided disc with both versions on it. It just dissapoints me that WB don't consider "childrens" films important enough to grant a widescreen release.

Cats and Dogs was a kids movie??? Most people I know who saw it and loved were adults. Go figure.

Hopefully they will put it out later in a good special edition with widescreen for the collectors out there. The pan and scan only version just might be a precursor to the dreaded and feared rental pricing scheme.
