With the new toyline out and the new cartoon coming to Toonami in just over two weeks, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe has spent quite a bit of time in the spotlight, especially this weekend at Comic Con, where a special preview and panel were running. He-Man fan "hemanrep" was there and reports news that will make He-Man fans-- and DVDphiles-- happy: Mattel has confirmed that animated He-Man is coming to DVD.
The really good news about this is that there are plans to release BOTH series on DVD. While information on the classic series DVDs is still unknown, the new series will feature a widescreen transfer and 5.1 Surround sound. It is not known who will distribute the DVDs at this time.
Stay tuned for more information on He-Man here at TZN!
